New York Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera left Saturday’s game in the bottom of the seventh inning after appearing to have pain in his left thumb following his at-bat in the top of the inning.

After the game, Mets manager Terry Collins announced that Cabrera re-aggravated his thumb injury that first occurred against the Miami Marlins on May 6. He also said that Cabrera will get a day.

Cabrera was 0 for 3 when he left the game and is hitting just .257 with a .720 OPS this season.

The 31-year old infielder has also been nursing an ailing hamstring and knee over the past couple of weeks.
