Andy Martino of SNY reports that Bryn Alderson is no longer an assistant general manager with the New York Mets and is leaving the organization.

Bryn, son of Sandy Alderson, has been an assistant GM with the Mets since July 2021. Bryn came to the Mets organization in 2012 from the Oakland A’s. He started with the Mets as a scout before working his way up to director of pro scouting in 2019.

Byrn leaving the organization comes about five months after it was reported that Sandy was stepping down as the Mets team president and moving into an advisory role. The Mets have yet to hire a new president.

The Mets recently added to their front office when they hired former player and manager, Carlos Beltran.
