MLB teams announced their bobblehead giveaways in celebration of National Bobblehead Day on Saturday. And wouldn’t you know it, the Atlanta Braves are planning a Bartolo Colon Bobblehead Night in 2017.

On June 9th, the New York Mets begin a three game weekend series against the Atlanta Braves in their new digs – SunTrust Park.

The Mets actually open the season against the Braves with a three game set beginning on Opening Day – April 4th. So there’s a very good chance we’ll see Bartolo Colon in that season opening series.

Colon, 43, went 15-8 with a 1.21 WHIP and 3.43 ERA in 33 starts with the Mets last season. Colon also became the oldest player in MLB history to produce his first career home run when he took James Shields deep in San Diego on May 7.

The Braves signed Colon to a one year deal worth $12.5 million dollars. He needs 11 wins to eclipse Hall of Famer Juan Marichal (243 wins) for the most wins ever by a player born in the Dominican Republic.
