Brandon Nimmo got pulled from the Mets game on Saturday with an apparent injury. With a 1-2 count and the game tied 4-4 in the seventh, Nimmo took a swing and immediately winced. After Luis Rojas and a trainer said a few words to him, Nimmo was taken out of the game.

Nimmo has been battling a hip issue, but it’s unclear whether this is related to that or not. All Mets fans can do is hope for the best right now, as the extent of the injury is not yet known. Hopefully for the Mets, it’s simply precautionary or short-term.

Kevin Pillar replaced Nimmo mid-at-bat and struck out. The strikeout was credited to Nimmo.

J.D. Davis also came out earlier in the game. SNY later confirmed that he came out with a left hand sprain.

SNY also provided an update on Nimmo, saying that he left the game with a left index finger contusion. X-rays were negative.
