The market for Lorenzo Cain has been non-existent, at least to public knowledge, with the center fielder barely being talked about even during the Winter Meetings.

Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports is now reporting that the Toronto Blue Jays are among the teams interest in Cain but prefer not to go longer than four years. Heyman notes that there has been a strong market for Cain.

Cain, 31, hit .300/.363/.440 with 15 home runs, 49 RBIs, and 26 stolen bases in 2017 for the Kansas City Royals. He also posted a 5.3 bWAR, but his dWAR declined for the fourth straight season and he will turn 32 on April 13.

Back in November it was reported that the Mets had reached out to Cain despite signing him being an extreme long shot. The Mets look like they will go with the combination of Juan Lagares and Brandon Nimmo in center field.
