According to Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports, former Met Carlos Beltran has signed a two-year deal worth $25 million dollars with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Beltran reportedly turned down a couple of three-year offers to join St. Louis for a chance to contend.

Last season, Beltran batted .300/.385/.525 in 598 plate appearances for the Mets and Giants, but more importantly stayed healthy all year long.

The Twins meanwhile, signed starting pitcher Jason Marquis who the Mets were reportedly interested in. The New York native gets a one-year deal for $3 million according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
