Wally Backman talked to reporters after last night’s final home game for the Buffalo Bisons at Coca Cola Field. The Herd fell to the Rochester Red Wings 10-4 after the bullpen allowed eight runs once Collin McHugh was pulled from the game after hitting his limit of 75 pitches.

In the interview Backman talks about the loss of key players that led to their fall from first place in early June to last place where they now find themselves with a 64-75 record.

The Mets will be looking for a new home for their Triple-A affiliate after this season, as Buffalo is expected to sign a new PDC with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Mets may be shuffling off to Las Vegas or to Oklahoma City. I spoke to someone who covers the OKC Redhawks who told me that they are very interested in the Mets.

Last night, I asked Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News who he thought the Mets would latch on with and he told me OKC was a good bet.
