Good morning, Mets fans! J.D. Martinez was plunked in the elbow by a pitch in the second inning of Tuesday’s 9-4 loss to the Athletics. Mets first-round pick Carson Benge debuted in the Bridge League Saturday and didn’t disappoint. The lefty bat collected two hits in the Bridge League, including a 99-mile-per-hour single and 102-mile-per-hour double. Both hits came against Cardinals lefty Yadiel Batista.
