According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic on Twitter, the Oakland Athletics and free agent pitcher Yusmeiro Petit are in agreement on a two-year, $10 million deal.

Petit, 33, spent 2017 with the Los Angeles Angels and pitched to a 2.76 ERA, 2.85 FIP, 0.953 WHIP and 10.0 K/9 in 60 games (91.1 innings).

The former Mets farmhand is perhaps best known in New York lore for being involved in the trade that landed the Mets Carlos Delgado.

According to Rosenthal, the breakdown of the deal is $3.5 million then $5.5 million with a $1 million buyout on $5.5 million club option.
