Those of you who purchased Mets ticket plans last season, will be happy to know that your original December 4th deadline has been moved up again from December 14th to December 31st.

Here is the copy of the email that was sent out.

Dear Mets Ticket Plan Holder:

Thank you again for your support of the Mets in 2009. We hope to see you back at Citi Field for the 2010 season.

This is a final reminder that the recent payment due date for Ticket Plan renewals has passed. In response to many account holder requests for additional time in making payment, we have extended the deadline for payment to the end of the year.

To retain your seat location, payment is due by Thursday, December 31, 2009. You can submit full payment by MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express.

Alternately, you may still select the convenient payment plan option to pay just half of your total invoice amount (including any credits already applied) by December 31. If choosing this option, your same credit card will automatically be charged half your remaining balance on February 1, 2010.

If you prefer, you may mail your check or money order payable to New York Mets with a copy of the invoice you recently received (or print a copy of your online invoice).

Accounts that have not made any payment as described will be cancelled after December 31.

If you have any questions or require assistance, please call our Ticket Services staff at (718) 507-TIXX.

Best wishes for a happy holiday season. We look forward to welcoming you back to Citi Field in 2010.

Sincerely,
New York Mets

I have a feeling that they will be extending this deadline a few more times before now and spring training…

It’s good to see that at least one department in the Mets front office is still open for business and operational. Somebody should treat those folks in ticket sales to a free holiday luncheon.
