There’s no question the sky is the limit for Mets shortstop Amed Rosario, but perhaps the most admirable part of his game is his affinity to get better.

The 22-year-old is putting that forth by working on patience at the plate, and is already down in St. Lucie trying to improve that aspect of his game. He walked just three times in 170 plate appearances with New York in 2017.

“I’ve been working hard, steadily, every single day,’’ Rosario told Kevin Kernan of The New York Post Tuesday through translator Melissa Rodriguez. “Coming into this year, I’ve really been focusing on my strike zone, trying to make that smaller and, of course, trying not to go for some of those bad pitches.

“I think it’s been going really well. I’ve been doing steady drills and all of last week I worked with [Roessler],’’ Rosario said. “Nothing is impossible, so we’ll see what happens.’’

Rosario’s motto has been, “don’t be surprised, be ready,” a mantra he put forth in his path to being called up. Now that he’s here, he won’t take it for granted.

“The pressure is still there because I don’t take it for granted being in the major leagues, so I’m still working every single day as if I have something to prove to make it up there,” he said.

The consensus No. 1 Mets prospect last year hit just .248/.271/.394 in a small sample size, but is still one of the young bucks in the league. Rosario has hit at every level of the minors, including a .328/.367/.466 clip as one of the youngest players at the Triple-A level.

Rosario adds that he has been training with Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes, and they have been practicing agility. Apart from plate discipline, Rosario is also working on his speed and power. He hit four home runs in his brief stint in Queens.

“We’ve been training together,’’ Rosario said. “and from what I’ve seen, he is just super focused on staying healthy and training hard and being prepared for this upcoming season.’’

Rosario concluded by saying he has great aspirations for the 2018 Mets, new manager Mickey Callaway and the return of Jay Bruce.

“I’m really happy to see that we already have a few veterans in that clubhouse,’’ Rosario said. “With the mix of young guys I think that is going to be really good, very helpful. I would say this year we are coming in really prepared. I would let fans know that we are working really hard, we want to go in there and we want to win the World Series this year.’’
