Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports that Pete Alonso will be in the lineup tomorrow against the Washington Nationals who will send Max Scherzer to the mound.

Earlier today it was officially reported that Alonso had made the team and now he is set to make his MLB debut tomorrow. Mickey Callaway has been using him in the two-hole recently in Spring Training games, which could potentially be where he hits in the order against Scherzer. He likely also could hit anywhere in the fourth-to-sixth range in the lineup.

Meanwhile, the team remains undecided about who should start in center field tomorrow. In terms of natural center fielders, the team could go with either Juan Lagares or Keon Broxton. The former had an abysmal Spring in which he registered a .496 OPS in 18 games while the latter had a .788 OPS. Both players are known for their glove so either one would be fine up the middle defensively.

Another option would be to place Jeff McNeil in left field and start J.D. Davis at third base or put Dominic Smith in left.

McNeil likely will move to left field regularly upon the return of Jed Lowrie and/or Todd Frazier.
