MLB Network is In, SNY, YES and NESN are Out

I don’t know about you, but ever since the debut of MLB Network, I haven’t tuned into SNY once. Of course I’ll be watching every Mets game as well as Pre and post game coverage, but let’s face it, given the choice between the two it’s not even close. I’m thinking that all of  you NESN and YES Network watchers, are feeling the same way. I mean come on… It’s like comparing Alyssa Milano to Carrot Top. Oh and by the way, Alyssa Milano is still definitely in!

Young and exciting players are In, Old and decrepit players are Out

Forget guys like Jason Varitek, Ken Griffey Jr., Nomar Garciaparra and Jeff Kent. Give me more players like Dustin Pedroia, Tim Lincecum, Cole Hamels and Alexei Ramirez. Keep your damn Type A Free Agents and stay the hell away from my precious draft picks!

1050 ESPN is In, WFAN is Out

Mike Francesa carries a solo act about as good as he is at winning Rewards Points at Weight Watchers. The guy is a total bore and always has been. Benigno and Roberts are just plain ridiculous and their time slot amounts to nothing more than three hours of noise pollution. Boomer and Carton have their moments, and so does the Schmoozer, but what about the other 19 hours of air-time? Mad Dog and Chris Carlin ditched the FAN, and and so should you. Kellerman, Tierney and Mike and Mike, all get a big thumbs-up. Tune into 1050 and see the light.

CitiField is In, Shea Stadium is Out

Nobody will miss that blaring PA System, those cramped seats, that eighties decor, those squeaky escalators, and those smelly restrooms more than me. Shea Stadium was a dump, but it was OUR dump. Here’s to a brand new, shiny ballpark with all the frills and thrills. Oh and before I forget, I want to give a big shout-out to all the wonderful U.S. taxpayers that helped chip in the $400 million dollars for CitiField’s naming rights. We promise to spend your money wisely… on players that will help the Mets beat your teams.
