The Orioles will try to bounce back from their game one extra innings loss to the Royals as they send Bud Norris to the hill against Yordano Ventura. Norris beat the Tigers in his lone career playoff start, pitching 6.1 innings and surrendering no runs on just two hits. Ventura will be making his third appearance of the playoffs. After getting touched up in the one-game playoff against the A’s, he bounced back and turned in a seven inning, one run effort against the Angels.

The National League Championship Series kicks off tonight in St. Louis in a matchup of two dominant starting pitchers. Wainwright is appearing in his 20th postseason game where he owns a career ERA of 3.13. Bumgarner is making his ninth career playoff start. He is 4-3 with a 2.96 career ERA in the playoffs.
