An eventful season for Émilien Pitre continued on Saturday night when he hit his first Triple-A homer in Syracuse’s 14-9 loss to Rochester.
The infielder started the year at High-A Bowling Green (Tampa Bay). He was moved up to Double-A Montgomery after 51 games, traded to the Mets on August 2 along with pitcher Gary Gill Hill and outfielder Aidan Smith for Freddy Peralta. He then played 10 games at Binghamton before earning another promotion to Syracuse.
He entered Saturday with a .310/.424/.430 slash line in 110 games across the four stops and last week was named the second baseman of MLB Pipeline’s 2026 All-Breakout Team. The 23-year-old Canadian was a second-round pick in 2024 from the University of Kentucky.

The game was suspended in the bottom of the first because of bad weather. It will resume at 12:10 pm ET Sunday and be the only game played, which will be the season finale for St. Lucie.
Before the suspension, St. Lucie outfielder Jake Ogden hit a solo homer and Mets right-handed pitcher Alex Petrovic allowed one run on one hit and struck out two in his professional debut. Petrovic was a sixth-round pick out of Auburn, where he pitched to a 3.21 ERA over 92 2/3 innings and struck out 91.
