Jonah Tong threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out three in Triple-A Syracuse’s 3-0 victory Saturday over Worcester. This came one night after Jack Wenninger threw five no-hit innings.
It’s been a rough year for the organization’s top pitching prospect. Tong has served up 22 home runs (second-most in Triple-A) a year after giving up just two in the minors. But he’s now allowed one run or fewer in five of his last six starts.

Gordon, 24, a 13th-round pick in 2024 out of the University of Oregon, had his best outing of the season to continue a hot August. He’s allowed four earned runs over 23 innings (1.57 ERA) this month. He has struck out 70 and walked 35 in 77 2/3 innings for Binghamton on the season.
