Jorge Polanco hit a three-run homer and walked twice in Double-A Binghamton’s 5-4 victory Friday over Portland. The 32-year-old was making his second rehab start since going on the injured list in April with Achilles bursitis and a wrist issue. David Stearns said he will play again on Saturday and get Sunday off. He could return to the Mets during their next road trip, which starts Monday in Seattle and moves on to San Diego.

Polanco was hitting .179/.246/.286 with one home run in 14 games when he got hurt. He will be expected to see a lot of time as the designated hitter when he returns.
