Each of the Mets’ minor league affiliates dropped their contest on Wednesday, but there was one big bright spot for the organization. Jorge Polanco, who signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Mets this offseason, made his first appearance in game action since April 14, when he was placed on the injured list. Polanco dealt with a wrist injury as well as recurring flare-ups due to Achilles bursitis. Before he was placed on the IL, he slashed .179/.246/.286 in 61 plate appearances.
