The Dodgers took firm control of the NLCS on Tuesday, as Yoshinobu Yamamoto hurled the first playoff complete game in eight years in a 5-1 victory at American Family Field. Now, the series shifts to Los Angeles with the Dodgers just two wins away from returning to the Fall Classic.

Tyler Glasnow will take the hill for the Dodgers. The towering righty was strong against the Phillies in NLDS Game 4, allowing just two hits and three walks, striking out eight over six shutout innings. The Brewers will counter with a bullpen game, started by lefty Aaron Ashby. Jacob Misiorowski is expected to work as the bulk man following Ashby.

Game Notes

  • According to OptaStats, no MLB team before Tuesday had ever had a 30-game stretch (postseason or regular season) in which its starting pitchers had posted an ERA below 1.50 or held opponents to a batting average below .150. The Dodgers have accomplished both of those feats over their last 30 games.
  • Jose Quintana, originally scheduled to be the bulk man today for Milwaukee, is expected to pitch in Game 4 on Friday.
