Blade Tidwell will toe the rubber for Syracuse. The 23-year-old is coming off a game in which he didn’t allow a hit and struck out 11 over 5 2/3 innings. Oddly enough, he allowed two earned runs because both runners he left on base scored. He has 61 strikeouts and a 3.97 ERA in 47 2/3 innings for Triple-A Syracuse this year.

Frankie Montas struggled on Tuesday night for Syracuse.
