David Stearns will give his end-of-season press conference on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Mets have 10 players set to hit free agency, including Pete Alonso, Sean Manaea, Luis Severin and Jose Quintana. Another pending free agent, Adam Ottavino, will pitch for Toros del Este in LIDOM beginning next month and intends to play in 2025. J.D. Martinez also wants to play next year, but will only continue if it makes sense for him.

Francisco Lindor was named a finalist for the NL Most Outstanding Player award alongside Shohei Ohtani and Marcell Ozuna. Lindor was the Mets’ lone nominee for the Players Choice Awards.
John Mayer posted on social media about the impact this year’s Mets team had on him, specifically shouting out Lindor. Mayer said he began to treat shows like games, including when he played the guitar with just three fingers due to a cracked nail.
Steve Cohen took to Twitter to express how proud he is of the team for what they accomplished this year and his excitement for 2025.
Jeff Passan of ESPN wrote about why he believes this year’s Mets run is just the beginning of something big for the team. Passan wrote that Juan Soto should be the Mets’ top priority for the offseason and that with $190 million coming off the books, he still expects the team to spend aggressively.
Team USA announced their Premier12 roster, which includes Mets prospect Luke Ritter and former Mets hurler Rich Hill. Mets base running coordinator Jemile Weeks will serve as the team’s first base coach, LaTroy Hawkins will be the bullpen coach, and former Mets pitching coach Dave Wallace will be the team’s pitching coach.

Major League Baseball revealed the full schedule for the World Series, with each game set to begin at 8:08 PM on FOX. Yankees manager Aaron Boone announced that Gerrit Cole will take the mound in Game 1. Apple TV will be on the ground filming a documentary about the series. Currently, the cheapest price for a ticket to Game 1 of the World Series is $1,085, over 1,000 times more than it cost to Game 1 between the Dodgers and Yankees in 1941.
Evan Dreilich of The Athletic reports that the A’s will play on grass in Sacramento as opposed to turf, which was previously planned. The decision was made after the MLBPA raised concerns about playing on turf.
The Blue Jays have hired David Popkins to be their new hitting coach. Popkins has spent the last three seasons in the same role for the Twins.
The Las Vegas Aviators announced Monday that their beloved bat dog, Finn, has passed away. Finn had been the team’s bat dog ever since the Mets had their Triple-A team in Las Vegas and will be missed dearly.
