At No. 27, pitcher Christian Scott leads a group of a half-dozen Mets who cracked the latest edition of Baseball America’s list of top 100 prospects released on Wednesday.

Scott, 24, is 0-2 with a 3.90 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in five starts with New York after starting the season at Triple-A Syracuse. He has 25 strikeouts and six walks in 27 2/3 innings. He was sent down last Friday, but is expected to rejoin the rotation later in the season.

Baseball America said “there are sexier pitching prospects than Scott, but there are few who hit the majors more ready to succeed thanks to his combination of solid stuff and advanced control and command.”

Jett Williams, a speedy 2B/SS/CF at Double-A Binghamton who has been out with a wrist injury that may require surgery, was ranked No. 32.

Drew Gilbert, an outfielder at Syracuse who has been out with a hamstring strain since April 7, came in at No. 74. Infielder Ronny Mauricio, who hit two homers and stole seven bases in 26 games with the Mets last year but hurt his knee playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic, is No. 76. Mauricio is expected to miss the season.

The others in the top 100 are pitchers Blade Tidwell (No. 94) and Brandon Sproat (No. 96).

Tidwell was recently promoted from Binghamton to Syracuse. He is 2-5 with a 2.20 ERA and 1.12 WHIP across 49 innings at the two levels with 49 strikeouts and 19 walks. Baseball America says he has “shown a power fastball sitting 94-96 mph with a hard cutter and a sweepy slider as his primary mix. Tidwell has shown flashes of command this season but long-term strike-throwing concerns linger.”

Of Sproat, the publication says he “mixes six different pitch shapes with above-average velocity across his mix.”

Sproat, a 2023 second round draft pick who has shined of late, is 3-1 with a 1.23 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 51 1/3 innings at Single-A Brooklyn and Binghamton. He has struck out 63 and walked 22.
