Mets fans, episode 18 is here!

This week Mike Mayer and I are joined by Mets minor league prospect, center fielder Jake Mangum!

Jake had some great conversations with us about his experience so far with the Mets organization, what changes he made that helped his successful 2021 season, what it was like losing a year to the Pandemic and much more!

When asked about the differences he’s seen with new ownership, Jake quickly pointed out the hiring of new big league skipper Buck Showalter:

“I love the direction the Mets organization is going, the the new hire of Buck Showalter is absolutely electric and it’s a home run hire hire in my opinion. I think it’s a perfect fit, I know the Mets are going heavy analytically now, and I think Buck’s going to have that nice even out with it. I have a great feeling that Buck knows what he’s talking about in the analytic department no doubt, but I think Buck does brings that old-school mentality and every organization needs that balance of analytics and that old school kind of gritty, get after it mentality.”

Jake also has a great attitude that Mets fans will find easy to root for when he eventually arrives in Flushing!
