According to Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post, the Nationals have made an offer to pending free agent third baseman Anthony Rendon.

 The contract is for seven years in the range of $210 to 215 million with deferrals. 

Rendon, 29, could head into free agency coming off a 6.3 bWAR season. He hit .319/.412/.598 with a league leading 44 doubles, 34 home runs, and major league best 126 RBI.

On the defensive side, Rendon post a 2 DRS and 1.9 UZR in 146 games at third base. He has 18 DRS and a 32.0 UZR during his seven major league seasons.

Other pending free agent third basemen include Todd Frazier and Josh Donaldson.
