What a great way to open a three-game weekday interleague series! On Tuesday night, the New York Mets (65-60) beat the Cleveland Indians (74-52) by a final score of 9-2. The Mets are now 35-21 at home which happens to be the third-best home record in the National League.

On Wednesday, the Mets and the Indians will face off for game two of this three-game set at Citi Field. Marcus Stroman (7-11, 3.21 ERA) will be taking the hill for his fourth start with the Mets against righty Adam Plutko (5-3, 4.67 ERA).
