Jacob deGrom is 8-8 over 27 starts and 182.0 innings with a 1.68 ERA (league leading), 2.02 FIP (league leading) 0.978 WHIP and a 218 ERA+ (league leading). In his last three starts he has allowed four runs, two earned over 23.0 innings which is a 0.78 ERA while striking out 29 batters. One of deGrom’s more average starts of the year was against the Dodgers where he allowed three runs over six innings from five hits and three walks. Jeff McNeil has hit safely in 16 of his last 17 starts, dating back to August 13, which is the longest streak by a Mets hitter this season.
