The New York Mets have designated outfielder Kevin Kaczmarski for assignment today as a part of a flurry of roster moves according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.

Kaczmarski, 26, was a ninth round draft pick in 2015 by the Mets and he made his major league debut in June. He went 0-for-4 with a walk and strikeout in the big leagues for the Mets.

The left-handed hitter has slashed .357/.421/.444 this season in Triple-A for the Las Vegas 51s and has a career .800 OPS in four minor league seasons.

Right-handed reliever Bobby Wahl will take Kaczmarski’s 40-man roster spot after having his contract purchased from Vegas on Thursday.
