Todd Frazier played in a rehab game for the St. Lucie Mets last night in his attempt to return from the disabled list and return to the hot corner.
The 32-year old played five innings at third base while going 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two RBI in the game.
Frazier is attempting to recover from what was reported as a left rib strain which he suffered during his at-bats on July 8th against the Tampa Bay Rays. Frazier did not return upon being eligible to return from the disabled list, but had recently begun working his way towards a rehab assignment.
This is his second trip to the disabled list this season, as he was shelved for a strained hamstring he suffered on May 7th against his former team, the Cincinnati Reds.
Frazier is hitting just .217/.300./.385 for the season, and was hitting just .196/.233/.357 in 120 plate appearances upon returning from his first disabled list stint.
