According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, infielder Wilmer Flores (back soreness) will begin a rehab assignment today with Single-A St. Lucie.
DiComo adds that the Mets intend to have him back from the disabled list at some point during their 10-game road trip that starts tonight.
Flores, 26, has been sidelined since last month with lower-back soreness.
In 46 games for New York this year, he has three home runs and 13 RBI to go along with a .248/.320/.398 slash line in 128 plate appearances.
