Last night’s Mets game looked identical to last Saturday’s game for a while. Steven Matz started both games. Matz allowed a solo shot in the first inning for both games. Matz didn’t allow any runs after that and got out of jams in both games. The Mets bats did nothing in both games. But last night featured an alternate ending. Conforto hit a two run shot in the 9th to give the Mets the lead and then Mesoraco hit a solo shot to extend the lead. Now the Mets find themselves in a situation where they can get a much needed series win.
