Mets outfielder Jay Bruce will be sidelined until at least Tuesday with a sore heel, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
Bruce, 30, was out of the Mets lineup for their first Spring Training game on Friday against the Atlanta Braves and will be scratched from Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Juan Lagares is also out of the Mets lineup Saturday with a tight leg and hopes to return next week.
The outfielder signed a three-year, $39 million deal with the Mets this offseason.
