Marcus also reported the Mets are still talking to the Pirates about Andrew McCutchen and Josh Harrison.
However, last night in an interview on WFAN, Jon Heyman said acquiring McCutchen is considered a long shot.
Heyman also said that he does not expect the Mets to sign third baseman Mike Moustakas.
The Las Vegas 51s announced their official 2018 field staff, led by manager Tony DeFrancesco. DeFrancesco, a former coach in the Astros minor league system, is the 24th manager in Las Vegas franchise history.
