I just came across an interesting blurb on Travis d’Arnaud that caught me by surprise. In 2017, d’Arnaud moved into seventh place in games caught among the all time franchise rankings.
Nothing against d’Arnaud but I thought it was odd that someone so…. umm… mediocre defensively – and I’m being kind – would crack the top ten with 374 games caught. His name looked odd when you look at all the other catchers ahead of him.
Anyway, how well do you know your Mets catchers?
