New York Mets starter Chris Flexen lasted only three innings on Wednesday turning the game into a long bullpen outing, something that rarely works out in Coors Field.

However, the Mets got six scoreless of relief in the 10-5 come-from-behind win. That bullpen charge was led by recently recalled right-hander Chasen Bradford. The 27-year-old Bradford threw a perfect fourth and fifth inning to pick up his first major league win and receive his first crown as player of the game.

Following Bradford, the Mets would get four more scoreless innings from the pen with one from Fernando Salas, two from Paul Sewald and one from AJ Ramos to close the game out.

The six scoreless innings of relief from the Mets was the longest scoreless relief outing at Coors Field by a visiting bullpen in over seven years, since the Padres’ pen had an eight-inning, no-run performance there on April 10, 2010.

The Mets bullpen has been better of late with a 2.70 ERA in it’s last 50 innings since July 18th.
