Good morning, Mets fans! The Mets are off until this coming Friday due to the All Star break. They finished the first half at 39-47, in fourth place and 12 games back in the NL East.

Yesterday, Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals pitching staff shut down the Mets offense. Steven Matz struggled in the game and that combination led to a 6-0 loss. It was a bad first half that culminated in a bad weekend, leaving the Mets on pace to win only 73 games this season.
