Brandon Nimmo played in his first rehab game for St. Lucie, going 1-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored and two RBI. He played seven innings in center field. Nimmo strained his hamstring playing in the World Baseball Classic for Team Italy earlier this spring.

The 24 year-old has a career .285/.389/.421 minor league slash line but hit a torrid .352/.423/.541 with 11 home runs, 25 doubles, and eight triples in 97 games for Triple-A Las Vegas last season.

He played 32 games for the Mets in 2016, slashing .274/.338/.329 with one home run and one double and leading the National League in smiles per nine innings.
