The starting lineups for the 2012 All-Star Game on July 10 at Kauffman Stadium have been announced. including the 17 starters as well as the all the reserves and of course the pitchers.
Only David Wright and R.A. Dickey made the cut, Wright as a reserve and Dickey as a starting pitcher. Congratulations to both of them!
Wright leads the league in both batting average and on-base percentage, and leads NL third basemen in average, OBP, slugging, hits, runs scored, doubles and walks.
Dickey leads the NL with 12 wins, ranks second with 116 strikeouts, third with a 2.15 ERA and first by a wide margin with a 0.88 WHIP.
The highest vote-getter was Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton received a 11,073,744 votes, shattering the previous record of 7,454,753 set last season by Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista. Here are 2012 All Star rosters:
