Cyclones Win Best of Three Series and Advance to Next Round!

The Brooklyn Cyclones beat Jamestown, 6-4, in a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday at Coney Island to advance to the New York-Penn League championship series.

The Cyclones built up a 5-1 lead, only to watch Chris Hilliard give up 3 in the 5th, to make it a close game again. Brooklyn put up an insurance run in the 8th, for the final margin of victory, 6 to 4.

Darrell Ceciliani had another HUGE game out of the leadoff spot with 2 more hits, his first double and 2 RBI, a walk and his 4th steal in 3 games.

Will Cherry and Juan Centeno also had multi hit games, while JB Brown, Joe Bonfe and Wilfredo Tovar took 0-fers. Hilliard picked up the win, despite giving up 4 runs in 6 innings. Daniel Carela picked up the save, striking out one and stranding the bases loaded. The Cyclones had 9 hits and a 2/4 BB/K, while going 3 for 12 with RISP and leaving 5 on base.
