Lefty Ranger Suárez will get the start for the Phillies as they look to take a 3-0 lead over the D-Backs. Suárez pitched five innings of one-run ball in the Division Series clincher over the Braves a week ago. The 28-year-old allowed five runs in 12 innings (3.75 ERA) in two starts against Arizona during the regular season this year.

The Phillies have already six home runs in just the first two games of the series, including three off the bat of leadoff hitter Kyle Schwarber. Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Nick Castellanos each have one home run in the series.

Rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt will get the start for Arizona, and he’s coming off throwing 4 1/3 scoreless innings against the Dodgers in the Division Series clincher. The 25-year-old had a 5.72 ERA in his first 19 big league appearances this season, none of them against the Phillies.

Geraldo Perdomo is the only D-Back player to homer so far in the series and he has driven in two of the team’s three runs.

The Astros beat up former Mets pitcher Max Scherzer (4 IP, 5 ER) to earn an 8-5 win on Wednesday night, but they still trail the Rangers 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. Third baseman Josh Jung had two home runs in the game Houston.

Right-hander José Urguidy gets the start for Houston, the eighth postseason start of his career. He allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings against the Twins in the Division Series. Urguidy didn’t face the Rangers this year; however, he is 5-0 with a 2.82 ERA in seven career starts vs. Texas.

Lefty Andrew Heaney is making his second start of the postseason after allowing one run in 3 2/3 innings against the Orioles in the Division Series. The 32-year-old had a 2.75 ERA in four starts against the Astros this season.

Consistent with the guidelines used during the regular season, Major League Baseball has determined that the Globe Life Field roof will be open for tonight’s ALCS Game 4. It will be the first time GLF roof has been open for a Rangers game since May 21 vs. Colorado.
