The continuation of the new 30 for 30 documentary “Once Upon a Time in Queens” airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET to conclude the two-night special event.

The documentary chronicles the Mets 1986 season on and off the field with exclusive, candid interviews by players like Lenny Dykstra, Keith Hernandez, Darryl Strawberry, Mookie Wilson, Dwight Gooden, and Kevin Mitchell.

“The characters and events captured in this documentary are so outlandish it is hard to believe this documentary isn’t a work of 80’s-era fiction,” said late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel, an executive producer of the film. “Whether you are a New Yorker, a Mets fan or even a fan of baseball makes no difference. This is the definitive, must-see story of a team and a time whose antics and even existence now seem unimaginable.”

The first episode of the series built up the Mets and showed how they overcame the mediocrity of the late 70’s and early 80’s to become a true contender. Showing the moves like drafting Strawberry and Gooden while trading for established pieces in Hernandez and Gary Carter.
Fans who were alive to see the greatest Mets team in history can relive the momentum and eventual satisfaction of winning a World Series surrounding one of, if not, the most iconic team in baseball history.
As part of the event, Topps is releasing a pack of cards for each part featuring moments from the documentary and the 1986 Mets players.
For those who want to catch up and watch the first two parts that aired on Tuesday night, they’re available for streaming on ESPN+ and the ESPN app.
