In his start, he allowed just a hit and three walks in seven scoreless innings. Wenninger struck out five in what was easily his best start of the season. He now has a 3.48 ERA in 16 appearances (13 starts).

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets lost four out of six games in their series against the Worcester Red Sox. After dropping each of the first three games, Syracuse rallied to win two of the final three. The Mets are now 6-6 in the second half and 44-43 overall.

MJ Melendez went 6-for-21 in addition to the four home runs he hit this week. He totaled seven RBIs and also added three walks, leading or tying for the team lead in each of these categories. Melendez now owns an .869 OPS with Syracuse this season.

Jorge Polanco also had a successful week as he continues to rehab his way back to the major league club. Polanco went 2-for-12. Both of his hits left the park. He also walked twice and didn’t strike out once. Polanco has a .623 OPS in eight rehab games at the Triple-A level. The primary goal here is health and timing.

Nick Morabito continues to thrive, as he went 8-for-22 with a double and a home run. He added a walk and a stolen base while driving in three runs. Morabito now owns a .798 OPS. You could see a world where he gets more reps at the MLB level if/when the Mets sell off some pieces.

Zach Thornton also had a successful start, allowing three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings. Thornton allowed three hits and four walks while striking out four. His Triple-A ERA now sits at 4.54. He, like Morabito, should get more MLB run after the trade deadline.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Chesapeake Baysox played five games in their series due to rain, and the Rumble Ponies struggled with just one win. Binghamton’s struggles from the first half of the season have spilled into the second half, as they are just 2-10 and 29-52 overall.

Matt Rudick went 5-for-14 against the Baysox, hitting a home run, walking four times and stealing three bags. It was a good week at the plate for the struggling Rudick, who sports a .560 OPS.

Nick Lorusso had a similar week to Rudick, going 4-for-16 with a home run and also recording four walks and three stolen bases. Unlike Rudick, however, Lorusso has been playing well and now owns a .790 OPS.

JT Schwartz also powered Binghamton’s offense, going 5-for-20 with three doubles and a home run. Schwartz added two walks and led his team with four RBIs. He now owns a .676 OPS.

Jonathan Santucci made two starts and looked fantastic. The lefty, one of the Mets’ top pitching prospects, allowed two runs across eight innings with an impressive 13 strikeouts. He also allowed just two hits and five walks. He now has a 3.77 ERA through 16 starts. He ought to be promoted to Triple-A by the end of the season.

R.J. Gordon gave up nothing in his five-inning start. He allowed five hits and a walk while striking out two. Gordon has struggled in 10 starts to the tune of a 6.61 ERA.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones went 2-3 against the Frederick Keys, with the final game in their series suspended due to rain while in a 2-2 tie. The game will be completed on September 1. The Cyclones are now 7-7 in the second half and 32-47 overall.

Yohairo Cuevas led Brooklyn’s offense by going 5-for-13 with three home runs and nine RBIs, both leading the team. He also walked four times as he improved his season OPS to .632.

JT Benson stayed hot as well, going 6-for-16 with a double and a home run. He also added two walks and a stolen base while driving in three runs. Benson continues to crush the competition at High-A, owning a .938 OPS in 33 games. The 24-year-old has had one of the stronger showings in the Mets’ minor league system this year, and he may be rewarded with another promotion before the end of the season.

Mitch Voit showed off some pop with a strong week, going 4-for-19 with two home runs and three walks. Voit’s numbers have crept up since the beginning of the year, and he now sports a .763 OPS.

Daviel Hurtado shoved in his start, allowing just a hit and a walk in six innings. He also struck out eight in the effort, and he now has a 1.49 ERA in eight appearances at the High-A level.

Noah Hall also shoved in his start, allowing no runs in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed a hit and four walks while striking out eight. Hall now has a 5.63 ERA on the season.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets had a dreadful series against the Tampa Tarpons, losing the first five games of the series before winning the finale. The Mets are now 3-10 in the second half and 36-43 overall.

Trey Snyder was one of the Mets’ few bright spots in this series, going 7-for-20 with two doubles, a walk and two stolen bases. Snyder owns a .650 OPS in 22 games with St. Lucie.

Antonio Jimenez also did his part, going 6-for-21 with two doubles and a home run. Jimenez now owns a .711 OPS through 31 games.

Simon Juan led the team with two home runs, doing so on three hits in 16 at-bats. Juan also walked once and stole a base while leading the team with four runs driven in. Juan has just a .571 OPS on the season.

Elian Peña struggled mightily, going 2-for-18 with five strikeouts, a walk and two stolen bases. His OPS has fallen to .731.

Christian Rodriguez had an effective, albeit short, start as he allowed just a run in 3 2/3 innings. He allowed seven hits and no walks but also struck out seven. Rodriguez owns a 3.32 ERA in 22 appearances.

Trey McLoughlin was phenomenal out of the bullpen, striking out eight in 3 2/3 hitless innings. His only baserunner allowed was a walk. McLoughlin owns a 7.36 ERA in 20 relief appearances.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets looked good, going 3-1 in the last week of play. They are now 19-25 and in fourth place in the Florida Complex League East Division.

Yovanny Rodriguez went 6-for-11 at the plate with a double and three runs driven in. He also added a walk as he improved his OPS through 38 FCL games to .889.

Eris Albino tossed four scoreless innings out of the bullpen for the FCL Mets, allowing two hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Albino has a 5.86 ERA in nine relief appearances.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 2-4 this past week, driving their record down to 11-15. The DSL Mets Orange also struggled, going 1-5 to fall to 14-13.

Royner Bravo looked good for the second consecutive week for DSL Mets Blue, going 6-for-12 with a triple, two walks and a stolen base. He also added four RBIs as he now sports an .842 OPS. On the mound, Eduardo Pina tossed four scoreless innings in his start, allowing five baserunners with one strikeouts. Pina has a 1.59 ERA in five appearances.

In three games for DSL Mets Orange, top prospect Wandy Asigen went 1-for-5 with five walks and two RBIs. The hit, a single, is Asigen’s first of his pro career with the Mets. On the mound, Oscar Montero tossed three scoreless innings with one hit allowed, three walks, allowed and five strikeouts. Montero owns a 9.28 ERA in five starts.

Players of the Week

Offense – MJ Melendez, DH/OF Syracuse

MJ Melendez spent a lengthy portion of this season in the major leagues, but now he’s doing his damage in Triple-A after a demotion. The veteran had a fantastic week, in which he certainly looked better than the competition he faced. He’s likely to be one of the first position players called back up to the majors in the event of an injury or trade.

Pitching – Jack Wenninger, P Syracuse

Jack Wenninger opened the season in underwhelming fashion, but he delivered a gem in his latest outing and looks to be back in form. The 24-year-old who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2023 draft by the Mets is a promising prospect, alongside guys like Jonah Tong and Jonathan Santucci, whom the Mets are hoping will be the next wave of impact pitchers in the major leagues.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in four games of their six-game series. The run differential was even, with each team scoring 32 runs in the series. The Mets are now 4-2 to begin the second half of the season and 42-39 overall.

Yonny Hernández had an excellent week at the plate, going 12-for-21 with four doubles and six RBIs, leading the team in both categories. He also added a walk and two stolen bases, improving his OPS to .782.

Nick Morabito went a solid 8-for-22, recording two doubles, two walks and four stolen bases. Morabito’s Triple-A OPS is up to .786.

Jonah Tong had a strong start, allowing two runs in six innings. He allowed four hits and two walks while striking out three. Still in the midst of a down year, Tong has a 5.95 ERA in 13 starts.

Xzavion Curry dealt with a ton of traffic in his outing, allowing 11 baserunners in 4 1/3 innings, but he only allowed two runs and struck out three. Curry has a 4.50 ERA in nine starts with Syracuse.

Nate Lavender was excellent in two relief appearances, earning a save and tossing four scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out five, lowering his ERA to 3.54. He’s knocking on the door of the MLB team.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies struggled against the Erie SeaWolves, mustering up just one victory in the six-game series. The Rumble Ponies are 1-5 to begin the second half of the season and 28-47 overall.

Nick Lorusso showed off his power this week, going 6-for-20 with three doubles and two home runs. He added five RBIs, leading his team in that category, and three walks. Lorusso’s season OPS is up to .786.

Jose Ramos went 7-for-25 with a double and two home runs, also adding three walks and a stolen base. Ramos owns a .719 OPS in 67 games with Binghamton.

Nick Lucky, recently signed out of independent ball, had a great week at the plate with six hits in 14 at-bats, as well as four walks. Lucky has an .827 OPS in his first nine games in the Mets organization.

Gabriel Rodriguez was the most dominant of Binghamton’s pitchers, allowing no runs and one hit in 3 1/3 innings out of the bullpen. He allowed three walks but also struck out six batters. Rodriguez has a 4.13 ERA in 24 appearances.

Saul García also shined out of the bullpen, striking out four in 2 1/3 perfect innings. Garcia owns a 3.56 ERA.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones had a convincing series win against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, taking five of six games. The Cyclones are 5-4 in the second half of the season and 30-44 overall.

JT Benson had a phenomenal week at the plate, going 7-for-16 with a double, a triple, three home runs and eight RBIs. He also walked twice and stole a base. Benson has a .953 OPS at the High-A level this year and a .945 OPS overall.

John Bay went 6-for-18, recording a pair of doubles and a pair of homers with six RBIs. Bay also walked once and improved his OPS to .792.

Yohairo Cuevas also added a pair of home runs, doing so while going 4-for-14. Cuevas recorded four RBIs, three walks and a stolen base. He owns just a .500 OPS in 32 games with Brooklyn,

Daviel Hurtado had an excellent start, allowing a run on two hits and a walk in six innings. He also struck out six, lowering his High-A ERA to 1.91 through six starts.

Dakota Hawkins put a scoreless start together, getting through five innings unscathed. He allowed four hits and no walks while striking out a batter. In 15 appearances with Brooklyn, he has a 1.74 ERA.

Hoss Brewer was excellent in three outings out of the bullpen, striking out seven across four scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and two walks and now has a 3.94 ERA.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets played just five games due to rain, and they struggled by going 1-4 against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. St. Lucie is 2-5 to begin the second half of the season and 35-38 overall.

Chase Meggers recorded a hit in half his at-bats, going 7-for-14 with four doubles and a home run. He also walked twice and stole a base. Meggers owns a .682 OPS for St. Lucie this season.

Jeremy Rodriguez had a productive week, going 6-for-15 with two doubles and a walk. Rodriguez has struggled mightily for the season, though, recording a .490 OPS in 30 games

Elian Peña had a pretty unremarkable week, going 3-for-12 with four walks and three stolen bases. He now owns a .764 OPS for the season.

Emilio Obispo had a decent four-inning start, allowing eight baserunners, including five walks, but not allowing a run. He struck out three and now has a 1.49 ERA in 10 appearances with St. Lucie.

Ernesto Mercedes looked strong out of the bullpen, allowing no runs on a hit and two walks across two innings. He struck out four and now owns a 10.06 ERA on the year.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets had a rough week, going 1-5. They fall to 16-24 and are in fourth place in the Florida Complex League East division.

Bohan Adderley shined at the plate, going 7-for-16 with a double, two walks and a stolen base. Adderley owns an .851 OPS in 37 games this season.

On the mound, Omar Victorino allowed six baserunners in 2 2/3 innings, but he didn’t allow a run and struck out two. Victorino has a 5.74 ERA in 13 games.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 3-1 this past week to improve to 9-11 on the season. The DSL Mets Orange went 3-2, moving to 13-8.

He also drove in four runs and improved his OPS to 1.046 in 19 games. Olmedo Barria looked strong on the mound, tossing four scoreless innings with one hit and one walk allowed and four strikeouts. Through five games, Barria possesses a 2.25 ERA.

Pitching – Daviel Hurtado, P Brooklyn

Daviel Hurtado has had a great season between St. Lucie and Brooklyn, owning a combined 2.65 ERA and leading the entire organization in WHIP. The 21-year-old lefty is among the younger and more exciting pitching prospects the Mets have in their system.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets defeated the Norfolk Tides in four of six games in their series. With the series win, the Mets climbed back to over .500 at 38-37, and they are in fifth place in the International League East division.

Nick Morabito had a rare power stroke this week, going 7-for-21 with three home runs and four RBIs. Morabito also walked five times and stole four bases without getting caught. Morabito’s Triple-A OPS is up to .779.

Ben Rortvedt also enjoyed a multi-homer week, going 3-for-12 with two home runs and a double. Rortvedt drove in four runs and walked three times. He owns a .769 OPS with Syracuse.

Yonny Hernández also stood out at the plate, going 5-for-14 with three doubles, three walks and a stolen base. Hernández has his OPS up to .716.

Kevin Parada continued his hot play in Syracuse with a .357/.438/.500/.938 slash for the week, with two walks and two doubles.

Francisco Lindor also played a rehab game for Syracuse last week.

Xzavion Curry made two starts and looked generally solid, combining to allow five runs in 12 innings. He struck out eight across his two starts and now has a 4.54 ERA with Syracuse.

Joey Gerber looked excellent in two bullpen appearances, allowing one hit in four scoreless innings. He also walked two and struck out seven. Gerber has mostly struggled this year, though, owning a 6.86 ERA in Triple-A.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies split their six-game series with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Binghamton dropped the first two games before ripping off three straight wins and losing the series finale. The Rumble Ponies are now 27-42 and still in last place in the Eastern League Northeast division.

Jose Ramos led Binghamton’s offense with two homers in a 7-for-21 series. Ramos added a double and a walk, raising his OPS to .697.

Nick Lorusso went 6-for-17 with two doubles and a home run, driving in four runs. Lorusso walked twice and stole a base, improving his OPS to .752.

Chris Suero went just 4-for-16, but he added a double and a home run, and also showed great plate discipline with six walks. Suero also stole a base and now has a .778 OPS.

Jonathan Santucci was stellar in his start, tossing six scoreless innings. Santucci allowed six hits and two walks while striking out seven, lowering his ERA to 3.73.

R.J. Gordon began to turn his season around with two great starts this week, combining to allow three runs in 9 1/3 innings. Gordon allowed 11 baserunners and struck out just five, but he lowered his ERA from 9.19 to 6.84.

Max Green allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Green has a 3.86 ERA in seven appearances with Binghamton.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones had a brutal week against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, getting swept in six games. The Cyclones’ horrid season continues as they sit at 25-40 and in last place in the South Atlantic League North division.

Daiverson Gutierrez was far and away the Cyclones’ best hitter in a series where there weren’t many bright spots. Gutierrez went 5-for-18 with three doubles and a home run, driving in three runs. Gutierrez has not had a good season, owning a .579 OPS.

Corey Collins also had a pretty good week, going 5-for-17 with a double and four walks. Collins continues to display impressive plate discipline and has a .792 OPS.

Dakota Hawkins made two starts and didn’t allow a run, doing so in 7 2/3 innings. He allowed five baserunners and struck out seven. He’s been fantastic in High-A, owning a 2.08 ERA in 14 appearances (four starts).

Ryan Dollar impressed out of the bullpen, allowing no runs in 3 2/3 innings across two appearances. Dollar allowed three hits and three walks with four strikeouts and owns a 3.09 ERA in nine appearances.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets only played five games due to rain, but they looked good with a 4-1 record against the Daytona Tortugas. St. Lucie is now 33-33 and tied for second place in the Florida State League East division.

Elian Peña looked strong at the plate, going 5-for-13 with a double, six walks and two stolen bases. Peña now owns a .768 OPS for the year.

Antonio Jimenez also impressed, going 5-for-20 with a home run, two doubles and eight RBIs. Jimenez also recorded three walks and a stolen base. His OPS now sits at .680.

Jonathan Jimenez allowed three runs (one earned) in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four hits and three walks while striking out seven. Jimenez owns a 5.14 ERA in five starts with St. Lucie.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets had a solid week, going 3-1 and improving to 15-19. They sit in third place in the Florida Complex League East division.

Wyatt Vincent had a scorching week at the plate, going 5-for-15 with three homers and six RBIs. Vincent has been great in the FCL, owning an .892 OPS.

Jose Lopez had a strong outing, tossing four scoreless innings in one bullpen appearance. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out four. Lopez owns a 4.57 ERA in seven appearances this year.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 1-3 this past week to drop to 6-10 on the year. The DSL Mets Orange, on the other hand, went 2-3 and are now 10-6 on the year.

Frank Moreno raked for the DSL Mets Blue, going 10-f0r-19 with two home runs and nine RBIs. Moreno owns a .940 OPS this season. Jhoangel Marquez tossed three scoreless innings with five strikeouts, lowering his ERA to 5.23.

Anthony Delgado had a good week for DSL Mets Orange, going 5-for-10 with a double and four walks. Delgado has an even 1.000 OPS through 11 games. Olmedo Barria looked great out of the bullpen, tossing four hitless innings with four strikeouts. He owns a 3.00 ERA through four appearances.

Morabito has more home runs already this season than he’s had in any other professional season of his career, and he’s hoping he can get back to the big leagues before long.

Pitching – Jonathan Santucci, P Binghamton

Jonathan Santucci also remains one of the Mets’ top prospects. He hasn’t had the season he hoped he would, but he’s been better lately and had one of his best outings of the season this past week. The lefty at his best can be dominant, and he could see himself in Syracuse soon with more dominant outings.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets struggled against the Buffalo Bisons, losing five of the six games in their series, including each of the final four games. The Mets are now 34-35 and in sixth place in the International League East division.

Andy Ibáñez led the way for Syracuse with eight hits in 23 at-bats. He recorded a double and a home run, also driving in four runs. Ibáñez has just a .662 OPS with Syracuse.

Kevin Parada continued his hot stretch by going 4-for-12 with a home run and two walks. Parada has been a pleasant surprise since arriving in Syracuse, and he now owns an .868 OPS.

Jihwan Bae went 7-for-20 with a double and a triple, also recording a walk and two stolen bases. Through 60 games, Bae possesses a .794 OPS.

Xzavion Curry tossed five innings of one-run ball, allowing six hits and two walks while striking out five. Curry has recorded a 4.85 ERA in six starts with Syracuse.

Jack Weisenburger also allowed just one run in his start, doing so in four innings. He allowed four hits and three walks while striking out four, lowering his ERA to 4.99.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies dropped five of six games to the Somerset Patriots, scoring just over three runs a game as the offense struggled. The Rumble Ponies remain in last place in the Eastern League Northeast division at 24-39.

Nick Lorusso recorded just three hits in the series, going 3-for-12, but he hit a double and a home run, also leading the team with five RBIs. Lorusso now has a .723 OPS.

Kodai Senga looked much better in his latest rehab start, allowing just one run over six innings. Senga allowed just one hit and one walk while also hitting a batter. He also struck out five in his best rehab outing yet. He’ll be starting for the MLB team on Tuesday against the Reds.

Bryce Conley delivered a quality start, allowing three runs in six innings of work. Conley dealt with traffic, allowing five hits and four walks, but he also struck out five. Conley owns a 4.70 ERA in eight appearances.

Out of the bullpen, Carlos Guzman shone across two appearances with 3 2/3 hitless innings. He walked just one and struck out four to lower his ERA to 2.55 through 12 appearances.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones split their series with the Frederick Keys, alternating wins and losses in each game of the series. The Cyclones are 25-37 and in second-to-last place in the South Atlantic League North division.

Colin Houck looked fantastic at the plate, going 6-for-20 with a double and two home runs. He also drove in six runs, tied for the team lead. Houck also stole two bases and raised his OPS to .622.

JT Benson matched Houck with two homers and six RBIs, also adding a double and triple in his 4-for-16 week. Benson also walked three times and owns an .820 OPS.

Corey Collins continues to stay hot, going 4-for-16 with two home runs and five walks. Collins has now raised his OPS to .796.

Jose Chirinos looked great in two starts, throwing a total of 11 innings while allowing four runs. Chirinos allowed 15 baserunners but also struck out 16. Chirinos now has a 2.81 ERA in his first three starts for Brooklyn.

Nicolas Carreno also dominated, allowing one run over six innings. Carreno allowed four hits and two walks while striking out nine. This was his first start in High-A, and he now owns a 1.89 ERA in 12 total minor league appearances this year.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets dominated the Palm Beach Cardinals, winning five of six games in the series. St. Lucie’s sole loss was a true outlier as they fell 17-0, despite giving up just three runs in the other five games combined. The Mets are now 30-33 and in third place in the Florida State League East division.

Yohairo Cuevas led the offense with eight hits in 22 at-bats, including three doubles. Cuevas drove in a run and recorded four walks and three stolen bases. Cuevas now has a .905 OPS with St. Lucie.

Trey Snyder also looked pretty good at the plate, going 5-for-20 with two doubles and a triple while driving in four runs. He walked three times and stole a base as he raised his OPS in eight games with St. Lucie to .834.

Cam Tilly was great in two starts, one of which was the start of St. Lucie’s no-hitter. Tilly combined to allow just two hits and three walks in 10 scoreless innings while striking out seven. Tilly now has a 4.56 ERA after his stellar week.

Jonathan Jimenez looked great on the mound as well, allowing one run on three hits and no walks over six innings. Jimenez struck out four as he lowered his ERA to 6.32 with St. Lucie.

Emilio Obispo tossed a four-inning start, allowing no runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five. Obispo has been phenomenal with a 1.65 ERA in eight appearances with St. Lucie.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets had a rough week, going 1-5. They are now 12-18 and in second-to-last in the Florida Complex League East division.

Yeider Mindiola was the team’s best hitter for the week, going 4-for-13 with two doubles. He recorded a walk, an RBI and a stolen base. Mindiola has a .663 OPS on the season.

Camden Lohman looked fantastic with four hitless innings in his start, allowing just one walk and six strikeouts. Lohman owns a 6.17 ERA in seven appearances.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 2-3 this week to fall to 5-6 on the season. The DSL Mets Orange went 3-2 and are now 7-4 on the season.

Emerson Estevez had an excellent week for the DSL Mets Blue, going 6-for-18 with two homers, a double and a triple. He owns a .914 OPS for the season. Sebastian Gomez looked great on the mound, tossing 3 2/3 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He has a 0.00 ERA through seven innings.

Aiberson Blanco led the way for the DSL Mets Orange, going 6-for-11 with a double, a home run and five stolen bases. He also recorded six RBIs. He owns a 1.153 OPS in 30 at-bats. Abner Meza had a solid start, allowing one run over five innings with three strikeouts. He owns a 3.18 ERA through three starts.

Colin Houck has been a disappointment as a former Mets first-round draft pick. He hasn’t shown much improvement this year, but he was arguably the Mets’ best minor league hitter this past week. If he can carry over any momentum from this week, it could be huge for his development into what the Mets are hoping he can become.

Pitching – Cam Tilly, P St. Lucie

Cam Tilly helped St. Lucie to its first no-hitter in almost 23 years and tossed a total of 10 scoreless innings in the series against Palm Beach. Tilly has struggled in his first professional season, but the Mets’ 2025 seventh-round pick has a lot of upside, which he demonstrated this week.

Triple-A Syracuse

The Syracuse Mets split their six-game series with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The Mets looked like the better team despite the split, outscoring the RailRiders 33-23 in the series. The Mets are now 33-30 and in fifth place in the International League East division.

Matt Rudick led the team with eight hits in the series, doing so in 18 at-bats. Rudick homered, walked six times and stole two bases. He also drove in six runs and scored six runs of his own. Rudick owns a .775 OPS in 16 games with Syracuse.

Christian Arroyo also had a solid week, going 4-for-16 with two doubles, a home run and three walks. Arroyo tied Rudick for the team lead with six RBIs on the way to improving his season OPS to .797.

Francisco Alvarez played in four rehab games and went 3-for-13 with two doubles and a walk. He also looked solid behind the plate, throwing out an attempted base stealer. The Mets are hoping they can get Alvarez back on the big league squad as soon as possible, and this past week was an encouraging step forward.

Kodai Senga allowed three runs in five innings in his latest rehab outing. He allowed a total of 10 baserunners, a big concern, while striking out six. Senga has a 5.19 ERA in two rehab outings with Syracuse.

Zach Thornton looked really good in two appearances (one start) for the Mets, allowing two runs in nine innings. Thornton allowed six hits and six walks while striking out nine. He now owns a 3.91 ERA in five games (four starts) with Syracuse.

Jack Weisenburger provided a stellar bulk outing out of the bullpen, tossing 5 1/3 scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and a walk while striking out four. Weisenburger has mostly struggled in six games with Syracuse as he now owns a 5.40 ERA.

Double-A Binghamton

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies dominated the Reading Fightin Phils by winning five of six games in their series. Binghamton dropped the first game before rattling off five straight wins. Still, the Rumble Ponies are 23-34 and in last place in the Eastern League Northeast division.

Vincent Perozo led the way for Binghamton with nine hits, including three doubles and two home runs. Perozo drove in five runs and raised his OPS with Binghamton to .833.

Nick Lorusso also powered the offense, going 7-for-21 with a double, a home run and two walks. He also scored five runs, the second-highest total on the team for the series. Lorusso now has a .712 OPS.

JT Schwartz also had a breakout week, going 5-for-18 with a double and a home run. He led the team with seven RBIs and also drew two walks. Schwartz now owns a .697 OPS.

Jonathan Santucci dominated his start, allowing just one run in 6 2/3 innings. Santucci allowed three hits and two walks with five strikeouts, lowering his ERA to 3.93 in 11 starts.

Bryce Conley also shoved, allowing two runs in seven innings. Conley allowed just three hits and three walks while striking out five. He has a 4.73 ERA in seven games (six starts) with Binghamton.

Max Green made two starts and put together two solid performances. Green totaled 6 2/3 innings with two runs allowed. He also allowed four hits and three walks with five strikeouts. Green has made five appearances for Binghamton and owns a 1.26 ERA.

High-A Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Cyclones also won five of six games in dominant fashion, outperforming the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. Brooklyn won four straight games to conclude the series and outscored Jersey Shore 34-18 in the series. The Cyclones are now 22-34 and tied for last place in the South Atlantic League North division.

Corey Collins demonstrated his power in this series, going 4-for-17 with a double and two home runs. He also led the team with eight RBIs, four more than any other player. Collins has been heating up lately and despite a .187 batting average, he owns a .767 OPS.

Mitch Voit is also heating up as he went 6-for-21 with a double and a home run. He also recorded two walks, no strikeouts and four stolen bases. Voit has his OPS up to .723.

Colin Houck went 5-for-19 in the series, recording a double and a home run with two walks. Houck has struggled again this year, however, as he owns just a .584 OPS.

Frank Camarillo pitched six shutout innings in his start, allowing just five hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Camarillo now owns a 3.57 ERA in three starts with Brooklyn.

Daviel Hurtado also looked great, allowing just a run in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out five. Hurtado has a 0.69 ERA through his first three High-A starts of the season.

Making his High-A debut, Jose Chirinos allowed one run in five innings. He allowed three hits and three walks while striking out four. Chirinos now has a 2.30 ERA in 10 games, nine of which were in Low-A.

Cam Tilly

Low-A St. Lucie

The St. Lucie Mets struggled against the Clearwater Threshers, losing five of six games in their series. St. Lucie lost the first four games before finally picking up a win and then losing the series finale. The Mets are now 25-32 and in third place in the Florida State League East division.

Elian Peña led the struggling offense at the plate, despite having an unremarkable week himself. He went 5-for-20 with two doubles, five walks and three stolen bases. He now owns a .796 OPS on the season.

Yohairo Cuevas also did some damage, going 4-for-18 with four doubles. Cuevas walked twice and stole a base, and his OPS through 16 games sits at .864.

St. Lucie’s struggles were not due to the pitching staff, as they received a trio of scoreless starts. Cam Tilly allowed no runs in five innings, giving up four hits while striking out five. Tilly owns a 5.66 ERA in 10 games (nine starts).

Emilio Obispo also gave up no earned runs over four innings, though three unearned runs did score. Obispo allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out five. He has a 1.93 ERA through seven games with St. Lucie.

Joel Lara also tossed four scoreless innings, allowing just a hit and three walks while striking out four. Lara owns a 6.75 ERA in 10 games (six starts).

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets went 3-2 this past week to improve to 12-12 on the year. They are currently in second place in the Florida Complex League East division.

Roybert Herrera had a standout week at the plate, going 5-for-9 with two doubles, a home run and three walks. Herrera has just 16 at-bats early in the season with a 1.359 OPS.

On the mound, Yoralbert Cadiz looked solid with one run allowed in 4 1/3 innings. He allowed a hit and three walks while striking out six. Cadiz has a 2.61 ERA in eight appearances.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 2-3 this past week, putting them at 3-3 on the year. The DSL Mets Orange went 3-2 and are now 4-2.

Jonnhan Sanchez had an excellent week at the plate for DSL Mets Blue, going 6-for-15 with a double, a home run and six RBIs. He also walked once and stole a base. Sanchez owns a 1.111 OPS through five games. On the mound for DSL Mets Blue, Sebastian Gomez tossed 3 1/3 hitless innings with one walk allowed and three strikeouts. This was Gomez’s first outing of the season.

Cleiner Ramirez shone at the plate for DSL Mets Orange, going 6-for-19 with a double, two home runs, two walks and two stolen bases. He drove in three runs and scored seven. Ramirez owns a 1.073 OPS through six games. On the mound for DSL Mets Orange, Randy Guzman tossed four scoreless innings with three hits allowed, one walk allowed and two strikeouts. This was Guzman’s first outing of the season.

Vincent Perozo has over 1,000 minor league at-bats in his career. He’s mostly struggled, but he’s found his groove lately. Perozo’s OPS in 2026 is almost .100 points higher than his career OPS and this last series was his best yet. He likely doesn’t have much upside as a prospect, but to see him succeed this season is a welcome development.

Pitching – Frank Camarillo, P Brooklyn

Frank Camarillo is one of the Mets’ under-the-radar pitching prospects, as he was drafted in the 13th round in 2025 and doesn’t yet have eye-popping numbers. The 22-year-old showed what he’s capable of, however, in his latest start. He was the only Mets minor league pitcher this week to have a scoreless outing of at least six innings.

Jonathan Santucci, one of the organization’s top arms, allowed just two runs in 9 2/3 innings across two starts. Jose Chirinos, not as highly touted as other pitchers in the Mets organization like Jack Wenninger and Santucci, also pitched well. His latest dominant outing for the St. Lucie Mets not only helped St. Lucie earn a series win, but it also earned Chirinos a promotion to High-A Brooklyn.

Triple-A Syracuse

The Syracuse Mets lost their series against the Rochester Red Wings, dropping four of six games. Despite the series loss, the Mets scored 39 runs, averaging 6.5 runs per game. Syracuse is 29-27 and in third place in the International League East division.

Ryan Clifford remained hot with the bat, going 6-for-21 with three home runs in the series. Clifford also added a double and three walks, raising his season OPS to .790.

Veteran Christian Arroyo added a couple of home runs while going 7-for-19 at the plate. Arroyo drove in four runs and walked once. He owns a .779 OPS.

Jackson Cluff went 5-for-14 with two doubles and a home run, driving in four runs and scoring four runs. He also walked twice and stole three bases. He now owns a .596 OPS after struggling for most of the early season.

Kodai Senga struggled a bit in a rehab start, allowing three runs (two earned) in 3 2/3 innings. He gave up four hits and two walks while also hitting a batter. He also struck out five batters.

Jack Weisenburger gave Syracuse their most effective start of the series, allowing a run in 4 1/3 innings. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out five. Weisenburger has a rough 6.75 ERA in five starts with Syracuse.

Double-A Binghamton

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies lost four of six games to the Portland Sea Dogs. The Rumble Ponies were able to limit the damage in the series, winning two of the final three games after losing each of the first three. Binghamton is now 18-33 and still in last place in the Eastern League Northeast division.

Jorge Polanco played in three rehab games for Binghamton in this series, putting together some encouraging performances. In total, he went 2-for-5 with a home run and two walks. His OPS in three games was 1.571.

JT Schwartz launched three home runs in this series while going 7-for-18 at the plate. In addition to his three homers, Schwartz also hit a double and walked twice. He now owns a .673 OPS.

Jose Ramos looked solid at the plate, going 5-for-18 with a double, a home run, three walks and a stolen base. Ramos drove in four runs and scored two of his own. He possesses a .741 OPS.

Santucci, as mentioned in the intro, looked fantastic in two starts, totaling two runs allowed in 9 2/3 innings. He allowed seven hits and three walks while striking out 12. In 10 starts, Santucci owns a 4.30 ERA.

Carlos Guzman had two great appearances out of the bullpen, allowing one run in four innings. He allowed just two hits and no walks while striking out two. In eight appearances with Binghamton, Guzman owns a 2.92 ERA.

High-A Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Cyclones won their first series of the year, taking four of six games from the Wilmington Blue Rocks. After losing two of the first three games, the Cyclones closed out the series strong with three consecutive wins. Brooklyn is still just 17-33 and in last place in the South Atlantic League North division.

John Bay continues to be Brooklyn’s most impressive hitter this season. He went 5-for-17 in this series with a double, a triple and a home run. Bay walked twice and stole two bases. He also drove in five runs and scored 10. He owns an .821 OPS in 45 games this season.

Mitch Voit, the Mets’ most recent first-round draft pick, also had an impressive week. Voit went 5-for-19 with two home runs, three walks and a stolen base. Voit has mostly struggled this year, though, now owning a .698 OPS.

Corey Collins demonstrated elite plate discipline, earning 10 walks despite otherwise going 3-for-13. Two of his three hits, however, were for extra bases, including a home run. Collins now owns a .721 OPS.

Daviel Hurtado made two starts and was dominant in each, giving up no runs in 7 2/3 total innings. He allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out six. These were Hurtado’s first two starts at the High-A level after owning a 5.00 ERA in four appearances with St. Lucie.

Irving Cota made a brief three-inning start, but he was excellent with just a hit and a walk. He gave up no runs and didn’t record a strikeout. Cota has been exceptional in 2026, and he has a 0.73 ERA in seven appearances with Brooklyn.

Low-A St. Lucie

The St. Lucie Mets had a strong series win, earning four victories in six games against the Bradenton Marauders. St. Lucie’s pitching showed out, giving up just over three runs per game in the series. St. Lucie is now 24-27 and in third place in the Florida State League East division.

Elian Peña had a solid week at the plate, going 6-for-20 with a home run, five walks and two stolen bases. Peña drove in three runs and also scored five runs. He now has an OPS approaching .800 at .798.

Jamari Baylor only played in two games, but he made the most of his plate appearances by going 4-for-9 with two doubles and a home run. Baylor drove in four runs and owns an .842 OPS.

AJ Salgado recorded two triples in addition to a double and a home run. In total, he went 5-for-21 with two walks, driving in six runs and scoring five. Salgado now owns an .833 OPS.

Chirinos was dominant in his start, too, tossing six scoreless innings (one unearned run allowed) with nine strikeouts. Chirinos has been excellent with St. Lucie, owning a 2.36 ERA in nine appearances (seven starts). His next start will be for Brooklyn.

Nicolas Carreno also shut down the opposing offense, recording seven strikeouts in 5 2/3 scoreless innings. Carreno has also been stellar this season, owning a 1.43 ERA in 10 appearances (five starts).

Emilio Obispo joined the fun with a shutout of his own, tossing five scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits and struck out four, lowering his ERA in six games with St. Lucie to 2.33.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets went 1-2 this past week, with two of their games being postponed due to rain. They are now 9-10 and in third place in the Florida Complex League East division.

Justin Ramirez did the most damage with the bat, despite recording just four at-bats. He went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, also recording a walk and a stolen base. He owns an .869 OPS.

Franyel Diaz and John Valle each recorded a scoreless two-inning appearance out of the bullpen. Diaz (six appearances) and Valle (five appearances) both have yet to give up an earned run this year.

DSL Mets

The Dominican Summer League began on Monday for the DSL Mets Orange and DSL Mets Blue squads. Both teams won their season debuts.

Henry Manrique (3-for-4, 2B, BB, RBI, R) and Leyvi Rodriguez (3.2 IP, 0 ER) starred for DSL Mets Blue, while Yorber Semprun (4-for-5, 3B, BB, 3 RBI, 2 R) and Ryan Rudas (3-for-6, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R) led the way for DSL Mets Orange.

John Bay was an undrafted free agent when he joined the Mets organization, but he’s done nothing but produce. That’s continued into 2026, as he looks like the best hitter on the Brooklyn Cyclones. He’s an older prospect at 25, but he’s been an integral offensive weapon for the Cyclones this season.

Pitching – Jose Chirinos, P St. Lucie

Several pitchers were lights out this week, but Jose Chirinos earns the nod in part because of his promotion to High-A Brooklyn on Monday. The 21-year-old was great in 2025 but has looked even better in 2026 with his 2.36 ERA. Brooklyn will be a test, and Chirinos will have to show he can handle it.

Triple-A Syracuse

The Syracuse Mets defeated the Buffalo Bisons four games to two in their series last week, averaging over six runs per game in the six-game set. The Mets also began their next series against the Rochester Red Wings on Memorial Day, losing the opener 8-5. They are 27-24 and in fourth place in the International League East division.

Ryan Clifford continued his hot streak at the plate, going 6-for-22 with two doubles, three homers, four walks and a stolen base. Clifford drove in nine runs and scored eight, both team highs for the week, while improving his OPS to .749.

Eric Wagaman also had a great week at the plate, going 11-for-23 with a double, two home runs, four walks and a stolen base. Wagaman drove in seven runs and scored six. Since joining Syracuse, he has a 1.043 OPS in 13 games.

Christian Arroyo swung the bat well, recording nine hits in 29 at-bats. Arroyo recorded two doubles and a home run, also stealing a base. He owns a .741 OPS for the year.

Syracuse’s starters all struggled during the week, but the team still received great performances out of the bullpen. Danis Correa tossed four scoreless innings across two outings, allowing just two hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Correa has a 1.69 ERA in nine appearances between Syracuse and Brooklyn.

Nate Lavender didn’t allow a hit over 2 1/3 innings across three outings. He allowed just one walk and struck out three batters while also recording a save. In six games with Syracuse, Lavender owns a 3.38 ERA.

Double-A Binghamton

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies split their six-game series with the Richmond Flying Squirrels. It was a very even series with Binghamton slightly outscoring Richmond 33-32. The Rumble Ponies are now 16-29 and still in last place in the Eastern League Northeast division.

Nick Lorusso was the star of the show at the plate, hitting four home runs with six RBIs while going 7-for-25. He also walked once, stole three bases and scored six runs. Lorusso’s strong week elevated his season OPS to .751.

Jose Ramos impressed with his eye at the plate, drawing seven walks while also going 5-for-15. He hit a home run and drove in three runs while scoring six, also adding a stolen base. Ramos now has a .722 OPS for the year.

Binghamton’s best start of the week was a brief, yet solid one from R.J. Gordon. In 3 1/3 innings, Gordon allowed no runs on two hits, two walks and four strikeouts. He has otherwise struggled massively this year, owning a 16.55 ERA in six appearances across two minor league levels.

Jefry Yan and Brian Metoyer provided great pitching out of the bullpen. In two appearances, Yan tossed three hitless innings with just two walks and six strikeouts. He lowered his season ERA to 3.66. Metoyer also tossed three innings but across three appearances. He allowed no runs on one hit, one walk and three strikeouts. He now owns a 4.70 ERA.

High-A Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Cyclones also split their series last week with the Hudson Valley Renegades. It was another extremely close series, with Brooklyn outscoring Hudson Valley 25-24. The Cyclones are just 13-31 and still in last place in the South Atlantic League North division.

John Bay was Brooklyn’s most accomplished hitter for the week, going 8-for-22 with a home run and six RBIs. Bay also added two doubles, a walk and three stolen bases while scoring five runs. He owns a .755 OPS on the season.

Yonatan Henriquez went 7-for-23 with the bat, but he hit just one extra-base hit and struck out a whopping 13 times. Still, Henriquez stole five bases and scored four runs while driving in two. He’s struggled mightily this season, owning a .467 OPS.

Channing Austin delivered a gem on the mound, pitching 6 2/3 scoreless innings on just one hit, one walk and eight strikeouts. Austin has been sensational in an otherwise dreadful season for the Cyclones, sporting a 1.17 ERA through his first eight starts.

Frank Camarillo also pitched a quality start, allowing two runs in six innings. He allowed four hits and a walk while striking out three. This was Camarillo’s first start with Brooklyn after being promoted from St. Lucie. He now has a 4.14 ERA in eight total starts.

Bryce Jenkins continued his stellar season out of the bullpen with three more scoreless innings across two appearances. In 12 appearances on the year, Jenkins sports an 0.57 ERA.

Low-A St. Lucie

The St. Lucie Mets defeated the Palm Beach Cardinals in four of their six games last week. The Mets ended the series on a three-game win streak after dropping two of the first three games. St. Lucie is now 20-25 and in third place in the Florida State League East division.

Branny De Oleo had a fantastic week at the plate, going 6-for-19 with two home runs and a double. He recorded four RBIs, four runs, a walk and a stolen base. De Oleo now owns a .756 OPS on the season.

Yohairo Cuevas also impressed, going 6-for-17 with two doubles, a triple and five walks. He also drove in four runs and scored two. In six games with St. Lucie, Cuevas owns a 1.088 OPS.

Randy Guzman led the team with eight hits in 19 at-bats. He recorded just one extra-base while walking once and stealing a base, also scoring five runs. Guzman has an impressive .852 OPS for the season.

Jose Chirinos didn’t start his game, but he still delivered St. Lucie’s best pitching performance of the week in a 5 1/3 inning outing. He allowed just one run on three hits and three walks while recording 10 strikeouts. Chirinos has been great with a 2.75 ERA in eight appearances (six starts).

Nicolas Carreno also looked great on the mound, tossing four scoreless innings in his start. He allowed two hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out seven. Carreno now sports a 1.69 ERA in nine appearances (four starts).

Christian Rodriguez tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings in two appearances out of the bullpen. He allowed three hits and two walks with four strikeouts, lowering his ERA in 12 appearances to 1.99.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets had a strong week, going 4-2, including winning each of their last three games. They are now 8-8 on the young season.

Outfielder Heriberto Rincon impressed at the plate, going 6-for-21 with two homers and seven RBIs. Rincon also added two doubles, a walk and a stolen base while scoring five runs. Rincon has a .790 OPS on the year.

Jose Guevara made two starts during the week, allowing four runs over 9 1/3 innings with 12 strikeouts. Guevara has a 3.93 ERA on the year in four appearances (three starts).

Offense – Nick Lorusso, IF Binghamton

Nick Lorusso mostly struggled in Double-A in 2025 and had been trending that way once again in 2026. A sensational week at the plate has his prospects looking up, though, as he now sports an OPS in the mid-.700s. Lorusso is certainly an older prospect at 25 in Double-A, but his latest success with the bat is still a welcome development.

Pitching – Channing Austin, P Brooklyn

Channing Austin is operating on a different level this year after struggling between St. Lucie and Brooklyn a year ago. With an ERA slightly above 1.00 through eight starts, he’s been arguably the most dominant pitcher in the Mets’ system. At 24, he could see himself rise through the system quickly if his success continues.

Triple-A Syracuse

The Syracuse Mets followed up their stellar series against Lehigh Valley with a dud against the Rochester Red Wings, losing four of six games, including the final three of the series. The Mets are still above .500 at 20-18, good for third place in the International League East division.

Ryan Clifford was a major bright spot on offense, going 9-for-22 with a pair of home runs. Clifford also added a double, a triple, two walks and a stolen base. After a slow start to the year, Clifford has his OPS at an even .800.

Jackson Cluff also hit a pair of home runs despite going just 3-for-17 in the series. Like Clifford, Cluff also walked twice and stole a base. It’s been a struggle, as he has just a .549 OPS this season.

Despite a week where he cooled off from his hot start, A.J. Ewing was quickly promoted to the majors and should be in the MLB team’s starting lineup Tuesday.

Jack Wenninger continued his Triple-A dominance with another fantastic start on the mound. Wenninger tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and three walks with five strikeouts. The 24-year-old has been sensational as he has a 1.27 ERA in six starts.

Jonah Tong also impressed on the mound, allowing two runs over five innings with eight strikeouts. Tong allowed two hits and four walks, and he now owns a 4.46 ERA in eight starts as he continues to find his footing.

Zach Thornton had a great Triple-A debut, allowing three runs over six innings in his start. He allowed five hits and two walks while striking out four. In six starts across Double-A and Triple-A, Thornton has a 3.77 ERA.

Double-A Binghamton

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies’ dreadful start to the year continued with a five-loss series against the Hartford Yard Goats. Binghamton is now 11-22 and in last in the Eastern League Northeast division.

Chris Suero was the team’s only productive hitter in the series, as he was the only player to record an OPS over .700. He soared past that number, going 3-for-10 with two doubles, a home run, four walks and four stolen bases. Suero is hitting just .175 this year, but his eye and his power have his OPS at a solid .802.

Nick Lorusso and Kevin Parada both got on base five times in the series, but neither did much damage. Lorusso went 5-for-18 with a triple, not drawing any walks, while Parada went 4-for-14 with no extra base hits and one walk. Lorusso owns a .644 OPS for the year while Parada has struggled even more, sporting a .522 OPS.

Jonathan Santucci threw Binghamton’s best start of the year, allowing one run over 6 1/3 innings. He allowed four hits and no walks while striking out seven. He lowered his ERA after a rough start to the season to 4.64.

Jordan Geber also provided a decent start, allowing two runs over five innings. He allowed five hits and no walks while striking out three. Geber has a 4.58 ERA in seven appearances (four starts).

Douglas Orellana was the team’s star out of the bullpen, throwing four innings across two appearances. He allowed just one baserunner, a walk, while striking out three. Orellana has been solid this year, owning a 3.29 ERA in 11 appearances.

High-A Brooklyn

Just like Binghamton, the Brooklyn Cyclones’ fortunes have yet to reverse as they also dropped five games against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. The Cyclones are just 8-24 and also in dead last in the South Atlantic League North division.

Despite the dreadful week and entire season, the Cyclones received some impressive offensive performances in this series. Ronald Hernandez led the way by going 5-for-18 with three homers. He drove in four runs and added a walk. Hernandez’s strong week propelled his OPS for the year to .803.

Vincent Perozo had a great week, going 7-for-15 with two home runs. Perozo’s seven hits led the team and he now has an even .700 OPS.

Sam Biller played in just four games, but he went 6-for-12 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases. Biller has mostly struggled this year, owning a .576 OPS.

Brady Miller, who the Mets signed to a minor league contract just days ago, looked solid in his start. Miller allowed two runs in five innings while striking out seven and walking no one. Miller’s ERA through his one start is 3.60.

Channing Austin allowed two runs in 4 1/3 innings, also allowing nine baserunners, but his swing-and-miss stuff led to 10 strikeouts out of the 13 outs he recorded. Austin has been sensational to begin the year, owning a 1.69 ERA in six starts.

Low-A St. Lucie

The St. Lucie Mets dropped four of six games in their series against the Lakeland Flying Tigers. The Mets are now 14-19 and in third place in the Florida State League East division.

JT Benson provided most, if not all, of the team’s power in this series. Benson went 6-for-19 with five extra-base hits (two doubles, two triples, one home run). He also walked twice and stole a base. Benson’s excellent start to the season has his OPS at .961.

Elian Peña had a solid week, only going 5-for-21 but recording a home run, three walks and a stolen base. Peña also drove in four runs, which led the team. His OPS for the year is at .833.

Chase Meggers looked good at the plate, going 6-for-19 just like JT Benson. Unlike Benson, Meggers only had one extra-base hit (a double). He drove in three runs and walked once, raising his OPS to .612.

Jose Chirinos had an excellent start on the mound, allowing one run in six innings. Chirinos allowed four hits, no walks and struck out two. In six appearances (five starts) for St. Lucie, he owns a 2.52 ERA.

Frank Camarillo also stood out, allowing two runs in five innings with five strikeouts. Camarillo has struggled more than Chirinos this year, owning a 4.44 ERA in six starts.

Daviel Hurtado made one start and one relief appearance, his first appearances of the year. He tossed four innings across the two games, allowing just a run on two hits and striking out eight. His ERA through two games is 2.25.

FCL Mets

The Florida Complex League season is underway, and the FCL Mets are 2-5 through their first seven games. They are in last place in the FCL East division.

Catcher Yovanny Rodriguez is off to a fantastic start to the season. Through seven games, he is 9-for-27 with four home runs and nine RBIs, as well as three walks and a stolen base. Rodriguez’s OPS in the early going is 1.108.

Pitcher Camden Lohman has looked great through two starts, allowing two unearned runs in 7 2/3 innings with 12 strikeouts. These two starts are the first two of Lohman’s professional career.

Ryan Clifford’s status within the Mets organization became much more important when the team decided to let Pete Alonso walk. Clifford may be the team’s first baseman of the future, and he showcased this past week why the Mets might view him that way. Even with a slow start to the year, Clifford is tied for the Mets minor league lead in home runs.

Pitching – Jack Wenninger, P Syracuse

Jack Wenninger is a budding superstar, coming off a 2025 season in which he recorded a 2.92 ERA in 26 starts with Double-A Binghamton. He has a 1.27 ERA to start 2026 with Triple-A Syracuse, and it’s fair to say he’s pushing into the upper echelon of Mets pitching prospects that includes Jonah Tong.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets finished out their season with a series win over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The Mets won four of six games, including a 9-0 victory in the final game of the year. Syracuse missed out on the postseason despite their 46-29 second-half record. They finished 77-73 overall.

Carson Benge had an excellent final week of the season, going 7-for-21 with a triple, two home runs, four walks, and a stolen base. Benge recorded five RBIs and three runs scored. Benge’s strong week to finish the season was encouraging, as he ends the year with just a .583 OPS in 24 Triple-A games. He was, however, named the Mets’ minor league player of the year by the organization.

Jett Williams also finished the season strong, going 7-for-26 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, and a walk. Williams recorded four RBIs and five runs. Williams had a bit more success than Benge at the Triple-A level, finishing with a .718 OPS in 34 games.

Luke Ritter also stood out at the plate, going 7-for-16 with two home runs, four RBIs, and four runs scored. Ritter had a down year in Triple-A, recording a surprising .697 OPS with just 11 home runs.

Jonathan Pintaro made two excellent starts for Syracuse in their final series. He combined to throw nine innings, allowing just one run on five hits and three walks. Pintaro also struck out 12. He ultimately struggled in 17 appearances (five starts) with Syracuse to the tune of a 5.22 ERA.

Justin Hagenman finished the season on a strong note, recording five scoreless innings (one unearned run allowed) in his last start. He allowed six hits and three walks while striking out four, finishing his year with a 5.58 ERA in Syracuse.

Luis Moreno also had a shutdown start, tossing 4 1/3 scoreless innings on two hits, three walks, and three strikeouts. Moreno recorded a 6.58 ERA in 10 appearances (one start) in Syracuse.

Double-A

With the Rumble Ponies having played three postseason games to this point, here are the players who have stood out most:

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones won the South Atlantic League title with a 2-1 victory last Tuesday. The Cyclones went 4-0 in the postseason, sweeping the Greensboro Grasshoppers in the division round and the Hub City Spartanburgers in the championship round.

In the championship-clinching game, the Cyclones took a 2-0 lead in the third and never gave the lead up. Here is who stepped up in that game:

Carson Benge had been the Mets’ best minor league bat all year until his promotion to Syracuse. His bat cooled off, but he flew through the system and finished his last week in Syracuse on a high note. Whether or not he starts the year in the big leagues in 2026, he’s a prime candidate to help that squad out at some point next year.

Pitching – Jack Wenninger, P Binghamton

Jack Wenninger pitched arguably his best game of the year in the game that sent the Rumble Ponies to their league championship. He allowed just two baserunners and struck out nine over six dominant innings. He’s been phenomenal all year and he now owns a 2.80 ERA in 27 starts, including his latest gem in the postseason.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets split their six-game set against the Worcester Red Sox last week. It was a pretty low-scoring series, with the Mets being outscored 25-19. Syracuse is now 42-27 in the second half and 73-71 overall with one series left in the regular season. They’d need to pick up three games on the Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders in the next week to get into the Triple-A playoffs. If they do, all four of the Mets’ top affiliates will have made the playoffs in their respective leagues.

Jett Williams showed off his power and his elite eye in the Mets’ latest series. He went just 4-for-22, but two of his hits left the yard, and he also recorded four walks. Williams has struggled since being promoted to Syracuse, owning just a .665 OPS.

Ryan Clifford also hit a home run, extending his Mets organizational lead. He went 3-for-18 and also added a double, while walking six times and striking out just five times. Clifford now owns a .762 OPS since joining Syracuse.

Jared Young continued his excellent year for the Triple-A squad. In the latest series, he went 4-for-14 with a home run, three walks, and two stolen bases. In 70 games, he owns a fabulous .961 OPS.

In his first start since being sent down to Triple-A to figure things out, Kodai Senga looked comfortable with a six-inning, one-run start. Senga allowed just three hits and no walks while striking out eight. He figures to make at least one more start in Syracuse before re-joining the major league team.

Other notable pitching performances in this series included Oliver Ortega (4 IP, 0 ER, 3 K), Alex Carrillo (3.1 IP, 0 ER, 5 K), and Austin Warren (3 IP, 0 ER, 4 K).

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies finished up their regular season by winning five of six games against the Portland Sea Dogs. Their only loss was an 8-7 defeat. Binghamton ends the regular season with a 45-24 second-half record and a 90-46 overall record. They face the Somerset Patriots in a best-of-three division series beginning Tuesday.

Despite the big series win, the offensive results were not there. Omar De Los Santos had the best series for a position player on the team, going 6-for-20 with a triple, a home run, a walk, and three stolen bases. He drove in four runs and scored four runs, while improving his OPS with Binghamton to .620.

Nick Morabito looked solid, going 5-for-19 with five walks and four stolen bases. He drove in four runs and scored a run of his own. His OPS now sits at .733.

While the offense wasn’t very prominent for Binghamton, the pitching was. Will Watson was the headliner, as he shone in two brilliant outings (one start). Watson combined to throw 9 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out 14 batters. Watson has now made four appearances with Binghamton and owns a 3.44 ERA.

Jack Wenninger was also fantastic, going eight innings in his start and allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits, no walks, and two strikeouts. Wenninger owns a 2.92 ERA through 26 starts this year.

Jonathan Santucci also looked great once again, as he tossed five shutout innings. He allowed just two hits and no walks while striking out seven. Santucci owns a 2.52 ERA in 10 starts with the Rumble Ponies.

High-A

Offense – Yonatan Henriquez, UTIL Brooklyn

Yonatan Henriquez has had one of the more drastic turnarounds within a season we’ve seen in some time. Through July 4, having played 62 games, he had a measly .623 OPS, all with Low-A St. Lucie. From July 5 on, however, he’s played in 72 games (the last few weeks in High-A) and has recorded an .863 OPS. In the last three postseason games, he has six RBIs and a 1.125 OPS, propelling Brooklyn to within one win of a league championship.

Pitching – Will Watson, P Binghamton

Will Watson has been overshadowed by so many of the Mets’ other highly touted pitching prospects, but he has been among the best of the bunch. Having started the year in Low-A, he is now in Double-A and still thriving. He’s made 28 appearances (23 starts) over the course of the year and has a 2.60 ERA. His best stretch was with High-A Brooklyn, where he had a 1.70 ERA in 14 appearances.
