It was Jackson’s 14th home run of the year and his fifth this month.

As for Consuegra, he had his second three-hit game of the month and he extended his hit streak to five games. His three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth put the Rumble Ponies up 7-0.

The 24-year-old has not allowed a run in each of his last two starts, and it is the third time this year he has struck out at least nine batters in a start.

Reid-Foley continued his rehab assignment by striking out the side to preserve the one-hit shutout.

Ramírez did lead off the game with a home run of his own. He recorded three or more hits in a game for the eighth time this year and it was his second three-hit game of the month.

• RHP Joander Suarez (4.71 ERA): 5 IP, 2 ER, 7 H, BB, 7 K (65 of 91 pitches for strikes)

Suarez did allow a run in each of the first two innings, but he was able to limit the damage to just that. At one point in the game, he struck out five batters in a six-batter stretch (3rd and 4th inning). The seven strikeouts are the most that the 24-year-old right-hander has had in a start since he had 10 back on June 1 and June 7.
