Mauricio is a man on a mission, with an OPS near 2.000! After a rough showing in his rehab appearances, Mauricio has looked comfortable in Triple-A, homering on consecutive days all while stealing a base as well. Playing in his third consecutive game, he DH’d and was pulled after four plate appearances. Drew Gilbert has reached base in every game in May, with a .364 OBP for the month. While the hits haven’t been coming, he has been getting on base but has only attempted one steal in May so keeping his legs healthy is clearly a priority.

Paul Blackburn flirted with a no-hitter on Wednesday, not allowing a hit until the sixth inning. Blackburn could see the call-up to Flushing soon, but with the Mets rotation and bullpen performing well, it’s hard to find a place for him. Tyler Zuber has struggled since his acquisition in 2024 for RHP Paul Gervase. Gervase has done well this season in the Rays system, pitching to a 3.43 ERA in Triple-A with 30 strikeouts over 21 innings. This may be one of the first David Stearns trades that looks bad in hindsight.

Double-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (23-16) 2 vs. Richmond Flying Squirrels (12-28) 2, SUSPENDED TOP 6

The Binghamton/Richmond game was suspended in the top of the sixth inning with the score 2-2. The game will be resumed Thursday at 4:30 P.M. and the scheduled game will follow shortly after. When the game was suspended, Luis Moreno was pitching and Rochester was up to bat.

High-A

St. Lucie jumped out to an early lead, thanks to some wildness by Hammerheads pitcher Eliazar Dishmey, allowing runners to score on a strikeout that got beyond the catcher and two walks that put across runs. Daiverson Gutierrez added an RBI single in the eighth inning which would be the deciding run. Simon Juan has struck out at least once in all but one game in the month of May. Trey Snyder might not be hitting for average, but is proving to be a problem on the basepaths, with 14 steals so far.

Irving Cota was virtually unhittable, allowing one hit over five innings while striking out six. Cota was living in the strike zone and getting ahead of hitters. All six of Cota’s strikeouts were on breaking pitches or changeups. After a strong 2024 season, Cota could be inching his way into the back end of Mets prospect lists with 26 strikeouts over 28 2/3 innings while only allowing 13 hits. Wellington Aracena nearly gave back the lead in a rough ninth inning, after walking two batters, he allowed an RBI single. Hoss Brewer relieved him and allowed another two runs to score before a strikeout and a game-ending caught stealing initiated by Daiverson Gutierrez.

Florida Complex League

Bohan Adderley has hit a slump hard, as he hasn’t gotten a hit since May 8th, a period spanning 26 at-bats. He has struck out nine times in his last 11 at-bats. Sarmiento looks to be getting on track, despite his average being below .200. He is 4-for-7 with five walks, three runs, three RBIs and a steal in his last three games.

Daviel Hurtado had another stellar outing, going five innings only allowing one hit and striking out four. While Hurtado, 20, is old for the level, how easily he is handling hitters in the 2025 season is still impressive. Mets 18th-round pick Jace Hampson is having a good introduction to professional baseball, striking out six over 6 2/3 innings while only walking one batter. Hampson was the only high school pitcher the Mets drafted in 2024.

Syracuse managed two hits and five total baserunners on the day, which was a makeup of the April 29th game. They were stifled by Yankees prospect Sean Boyle for 5 1/3 innings. Luke Ritter has struggled in 2025, with an OPS under .600, and he has failed to hit a home run in 81 at-bats after hitting 26 last season. Jakson Reetz, despite a .180 batting average, has an OPS of .768.

Brandon Sproat has yet to find consistency in Triple-A, with another short start that has lacked the dominance he showed across two levels in 2024, struggling with control and pitch location despite great stuff. Lefty Anthony Gose may be a name to watch for the Mets based on the recent, potentially season-ending injuries to Danny Young and A.J. Minter. Gose has struck out 14 over 11 1/3 innings, however, he has also walked seven.

In the second game of the day for Syracuse, the offense managed to get seven hits as opposed to the two hits in game one, but only one went for extra bases, and they failed to score a run. Joey Meneses has been a pleasant surprise, providing solid organizational depth, and in the event of an injury to a right-handed Mets hitter, could receive a call-up to the majors. Brett Baty has played well at Triple-A and was only sent down due to the roster crunch required by the activations of Jeff McNeil and Francisco Alvarez.

Dom Hamel had seven strikeouts on the day, but was victimized by a three-run homer that turned his solid day into an outing that looks much worse than it was. Grant Hartwig chipped in with three strikeouts over two innings while allowing a run. With no offense on the day, the pitchers needed to be perfect, and unfortunately, they just weren’t.

Double-A

On Wednesday, the Rumble Ponies fought hard to secure their win over Erie. They got out to an early lead, putting up three runs by the fourth inning. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Erie put up two runs to cut the lead down to one. William Lugo had a great day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a double. Kevin Parada went 1-for-4 with no strikeouts, but still has an OPS of .418. Binghamton struck out 11 times to only one walk.

Zach Thornton made his Double-A debut and looked solid, allowing two runs on five hits, including a home run. Thornton looks to be another fast riser in the Mets system after a stellar 2024, and a great start to his 2025 season saw him promoted to Double-A before May 1st. Ryan Lambert, also recently promoted, made his debut for the Rumble Ponies and also looked strong, striking out two in an inning of work as well as walking two. Douglas Orellana came out to secure the save and has been having quite the season as well, striking out two on Wednesday and 16 for the season over 10 1/3 innings.

High-A

The Cyclones’ offense was firing on all cylinders on Wednesday, scoring a run in six of the eight innings they hit. Jacob Reimer dominated in the game, hitting three home runs and pushing his OPS over 1.000. Ronald Hernandez, acquired in the 2023 David Robertson trade along with Marco Vargas, had himself a day, going 4-for-4 with two homers and a steal, upping his OPS to .772 on the day. Every Brooklyn player managed a hit, and all but one scored a run. The Cyclones weren’t only hitting the ball out of the park as they managed three triples as well. The Cyclones’ lineup is loaded with prospects, so every game for them will be a must-watch to see the potential future pieces in Flushing.

As good as the offense was, the pitching was just as impressive. Joel Díaz continued his ascent up the prospect ladder in his return from injury, turning in his longest start of the season, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six. The rest of the bullpen teamed up for four scoreless innings, including Chandler Marsh and Ryan Ammons keeping their ERAs at 0.00 with solid one-inning outings each.

Low-A

St. Lucie Mets (13-10) 8, Palm Beach Cardinals (14-9) 6

The offense today was initiated by the top of the order, top prospects Trey Snyder and Jeremy Rodriguez both had great days at the plate, combining for seven hits. Daiverson Gutierrez hit his first Low-A home run of the season. Simon Juan, who has struggled thus far this season, had a nice day at the plate, going 2-for-5 and, despite an outfield error, made a key outfield assist to throw a runner out at third trying to advance on a fly ball. Most of the younger hitters on the team have struggled early on, but seem to be finding their footing.

Matt Allan was solid in his two-inning start, allowing two hits while striking out three and walking one. The Mets have been careful with Allan, not trying to push his pitch-counts up early, which is to be expected considering he hasn’t pitched in a game in nearly four years. Channing Austin had a forgettable outing that was not helped by his defense. Hoss Brewer came out and earned the win after he blew the save with two and two-thirds innings of good pitching to keep St. Lucie in the game.

Jonathan Pintaro, the surprise pitcher who rose through three levels in 2024 came out for both the third and fourth inning, and allowed three hits and struck out one batter. Additionally, left-handed pitcher Jonathan Santucci made his first professional appearance in this game and after getting into some early trouble, including an ill-advised glove-throw to first base, induced a double-play ground ball to eliminate the threat.

Dylan Ross pitched the sixth inning and allowed a hit and struck out a batter. Ryan Lambert had an uneven inning, allowing one run on one hit while walking and striking out two batters. His velocity was as advertised, as he hit 101 mph, but he struggled to land his breaking balls in the zone.

On the offensive side, the Mets managed to get some baserunners on, but the Nationals tough left-handed starter Alex Clemmey stifled two Mets rallies with runners on second base in the first and the third innings. Despite this, Boston Baro sent a deep shot to left centerfield to open the scoring for the Mets, 1-0 in the third inning. What all the more impressive is left-handed hitters were 20-for-97 with 37 strikeouts and no homers last season against Clemmey.

Nick Morabito hit a two-RBI single in the fourth inning, scoring Kevin Parada and Baro, bringing the game to 3-0. Ryan Clifford showed off his power stroke with a massive shot to centerfield for a two-run home run. The homer was measured at 449 feet. The Mets did not manage a hit after the fifth inning

Colin Houck drew a walk, but was thrown out on the bases when he got caught leaning the wrong way. Jeremy Rodriguez, acquired in the Tommy Pham trade, went 0-for-1 with a walk. Meanwhile, first-round pick Carson Benge went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk.

The game was called after 7 1/2 innings, with the Mets winning 5-1.

Player of the Game: Boston Baro

Boston Baro went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs and a home-run to left-center. The contact has always been there for Baro and the 2025 season will really show how far his prospect stock can rise if he can get into his power.

Baro hit the homer against a very tough lefty and took it the opposite way. As noted above, the pitcher he was facing had held left-handed batters to a 20-for-97 stat-line with 37 strikeouts and no homers last season.

For a second straight season all teams in the major leagues are participating in a Spring Breakout game. It’s like the All-Star Futures Game, but each team roster is made up of one organization. In 2024, the Mets’ prospects beat the Nationals’ prospects 4-2 with big days at the plate from Ryan Clifford and Kevin Parada. Brandon Sproat foreshadowed his tremendous 2024 with two strikeouts in one inning. Many of the players from the 2024 game will be back Sunday!

The 2025 roster is loaded prospects that are close to the majors and played in last year’s game (like Jett Williams), 2024 draft picks (Carson Benge, Jonathan Santucci), and players trying reignite their prospect start (Kevin Parada). Should be a fun day at the ballpark!

Earlier today, the New York Mets lost to the Houston Astros 5-0 in the Mets regular scheduled spring training game.

Three Things To Watch For

1. Jonah Tong. Tong has a fastball with over 20 inches of vertical break. Drafted by the Mets in 2022, Tong is coming off a standout season across three levels of minor league ball where he had a 3.03 ERA, 1.168 WHIP over 113 innings. The big difference for Tong in 2024 was his control. he kept his strikeout rate high (12.7 K/9) but dropped his BB/9 from 9.4 in 2023 to 3.7 in 2024. Barring a major surprise, he probably won’t make his major league debut until 2026.
2. Carson Benge. The Mets’ first round draft pick in 2024 is a top-100 prospect in baseball (#71 Baseball Prospectus) heading into the 2025 season. Last season, he played in 15 games with the St. Lucie Mets (Single-A) hitting .273/.420/.436. Like another Mets prospect from Oklahoma State (Nolan McLean), Benge was a two-way prospect. He even was a semi-finalist for the John Olreud award for two-players. Benge has decided to focus on becoming a major league hitter.
3. Jeremy Rodríguez. The Mets traded Tommy Pham to the Diamondbacks during the 2023 trade deadline for a 17-year old Jeremy Rodríguez who has really come into his own as Met. When the Mets got him, he was hitting .246/.363/.377 in the Dominican Summer League. Clearly, his walk rate was ridiculous. He finished the season hitting .422/.536/.711 with the Mets’ Dominican Summer League team. Last season, he played 50 games with the Florida Coast League Mets slashing .282/.355/.400. Look for his fielding today, which is another strength in his game.

Overview

In 2023, the Arizona Diamondbacks signed Jeremy Rodriguez for $1,250,000 as the top international free agent. Rodriguez played 38 games for Arizona’s Dominican Summer League team, slashing .246/.363/.377 coupled with two home runs, 12 stolen bases and a 22/27 BB/K. The Mets acquired the 18-year-old in August 2023 in exchange for outfielder Tommy Pham.

Immediately after being acquired by the Mets, Rodriguez’s numbers improved significantly, batting .422/.536/.711 along with one home run, and seven stolen bases across 13 games.

In 2024, the 18-year-old spent the season in the Florida Complex League, playing in 50 games. He slashed .282/.355/.400, with three home runs and 17 stolen bases. With a 17.1% strikeout rate, he was one of only two players 17 years old or younger to strike out less than 18 percent of the time in stateside complex ball during the 2024 season.

Defensively, Rodriguez played 37 games at shortstop, 10 at second base, and three at third base, while committing 17 total errors, which is not out of the ordinary for a very young infielder.

Overall, at 18 years old, Rodriguez has time to mature and grow as a player. The infielder has a high ceiling and possesses above-average arm strength, which he showcases at shortstop while still earning opportunities at second and third base. With a 6’0 170 pound athletic frame, Rodriguez has plenty of room to add more muscle over the next few seasons. The left-handed batter profiles as a contact hitter, but the ball travels a long way when he makes solid contact.

Rodriguez is lauded for his elite eye discipline, speed and extremely high baseball IQ. In 2023, he logged an impressive 33 walks while only striking out 31 times across 51 games.  As Rodriguez continues to climb the ranks in the Mets farm system, elite plate discipline is certainly a trait that will significantly benefit him. The 18-year-old continuously has showcased his speed and high baseball IQ on the base paths as he stole 19 bases in 2023 while only being caught six times and in 2024, he stole 17 bases while only being caught eight times.

2025 Outlook

After spending the 2023 season in the DSL and the 2024 season in the FCL, I expect Rodriguez to begin the 2025 season at Low-A St. Lucie. While he still has a long road ahead before earning a call-up to Flushing, he has shown flashes of potential that he aims to put on display this season.

Edward Lantigua

OVERVIEW

Want to feel old? Lantigua was born AFTER Carlos Beltrán took that infamous Adam Wainwright curveball for a strike to end the 2006 NLCS. Ok, that was mean, I apologize. So, who is this 18-year-old outfielder?

Lantigua, MLB Pipeline’s No. 41 prospect in the 2024 international free agent class, signed with the Mets for the second-highest bonus the organization gave out, trailing just catcher Yovanny Rodriguez. An outfielder, Pipeline described Lantigua at the time as a player with “premier talent” who “is already one of the most interesting prospects on the international market.”

As international free agents do, the Dominican teen spent his first season of pro ball in the Dominican Summer League, and it was overall a positive showing. His 122 wRC+ was the highest among all Mets qualifiers and 88th out of 300 qualifiers in the DSL. It was even more impressive seeing as he was a 17-year-old, with his wRC+ ranking 45th out of 172 qualifiers who were his age.

He started the season well enough, hitting .212 with an OPS just over .700 in June, but then absolutely took off in July. In 19 games, Lantigua hit .404 with a 1.095 OPS and was named a DSL All-Star during the month. However, he finished the season about as cold as he could possibly be, hitting just .133 with a .435 OPS in 12 games in August.

Lantigua has power and is expected to hit more home runs as he fills out more. He had one of the highest pull rates of Mets minor leaguers in the DSL, and his fly ball, line drive and ground ball rates are all around the middle of the pack. His strikeout rate of 19.6% was one of the best among qualifiers, and while his walk was on the other end of the spectrum, it was still over 10% so it’s hardly anything to be concerned about. Incredibly, Lantigua also summoned the spirit of Mark Canha and was drilled 14 times, tied for sixth-most among all DSL hitters.

He spent a lot of time in center field to open up the year, starting 19 of his first 26 games out in the middle of the outfield. Over his final 21 games, however, he spent more time in the corners, receiving 14 starts in either left or right field. He’s not a burner, and he could get slower as he gets bigger and stronger, so a future in a corner outfield spot seems like the most likely outcome.

2025 OUTLOOK

Lantigua is far, far out from even sniffing the major leagues, but he could make the move stateside in 2025. Mets top 2023 DSL performer Jeremy Rodriguez made the jump to the Florida Complex League last season at just 17 years old, so 18-year-old Lantigua could follow the same path. It’s a big test ahead for Lantigua, and if he impresses again he could start moving quickly up prospect boards into the next tier of Mets prospects.

The Syracuse Mets finished the month with a 12-12 record while the Brooklyn Cyclones finished 11-12. In Low-A, the St. Lucie Mets’ 7-15 July record brought their overall record to 32-65.

Let’s examine a few of the top performers at each level of the Mets’ system this past month.

Triple-A

Luke Ritter had a great month at the plate, slashing .325/.454/.558/1.012 with four home runs, two doubles, two triples and 19 RBIs. He now owns a .880 OPS on the season with 21 homers in 94 games.

Mike Vasil was Syracuse’s best starter in July, recording a 3.38 ERA in 32 innings. The 24-year-old right-hander struck out 27 in five starts to go with a 2-2 record.

Double-A

MMO Mike Mayer’s No. 4 prospect Ryan Clifford continues to mash the baseball. In the month of July alone he had eight doubles, four home runs, and 13 RBIs while slashing .277/.355/.518/.873. Clifford has a team-leading .847 OPS with the Rumble Ponies and has gone deep 13 times in 59 games.

High-A

Karell Paz has put together one of the more impressive months in the Mets’ farm system. The 24-year old is slashing .391/.429/.489/.918 with four doubles, two triples and four RBIs. He posted seven stolen bases in 16 games on top of that impressive line.

Jonathan Pintaro was recognized in the Mets Minors Weekly Report and continues to shine on the bump. Pintaro recorded an impressive 0.49 ERA in four games while striking out 19 for the month. It’s a small sample size, but the 26-year old has improved his season ERA to 2.50 in 9 games to go with 35 strikeouts.

Low-A

19-year old shortstop Boston Baro has been one of the few positive performers down in St. Luice. Baro is slashing .338/.415/.400/.815 with five doubles, 14 runs and 12 RBIs over 21 games. His season OPS moved to .762 while he has recorded 36 RBIs on the year.

Franklin Gomez finished off a productive July with a 3.20 in four starts. The 19-year old struck out 18 in 19 2/3 innings while lowering his season ERA to 4.04.

Florida Complex League 

Jeremy Rodriguez provided quality at-bats in the month of July, slashing .313/.400/.438/.838. The 18-year old shortstop hit three doubles and one home run with two RBIs. Rodriguez also led the team with six stolen bases in 13 games.

Irving Cota earned himself a promotion to St. Lucie with dominant performances in July. The right-hander posted gave up zero runs in 7 1/3 innings with 10 strikeouts. Over 11 games this season, Cota has a 4-0 record, a 3.26 ERA and 45 strikeouts across 30 1/3 innings.

Dominican Summer League 

Jose Guevara had a productive three starts in July, posting a 1.80 ERA in 15 innings. The 19-year old struck out 15 over that span, which brings his season total to 45 in 37 1/3 innings to go with a 1.45 ERA in 8 games.

Edward Lantigua showed promise at the plate, slashing .545/.615/.636/1.251 in four games. Over that span, Lantigua had six hits in 11 at bats, which included one double and one RBI.

The Mets blew a four-run lead, dropping the first game of their series with the RailRiders. Rylan Bannon and Luke Ritter drove in runs in the first inning, and Cortes helped with a solo homer in the second. SWB battled back, tying the game at 4-4 in the seventh inning, but an RBI ground out by Rhylan Thomas gave Syracuse a 5-4 lead heading into the eighth. Jeter Downs‘s homer in the top of the ninth tied the score and sent the game into extras, where SWB attacked early, scoring the free runner and another pair.

Bannon left the game early after getting hit by a pitch in the helmet. Catcher Hayden Senger also left the game early after fouling a ball off his foot.

Senga looked like the Ace from last year in his second rehab appearance after dealing with his shoulder strain injury. After giving up a leadoff double, Kodai would find his groove, eventually 98 MPH on his fastball and collecting a strikeout to end the first inning. The second frame was more of the same; he struck out a batter, conceded a hit, and earned a ground out. It was a successful rehab start for Senga, who picked up ten whiffs (five from his ghost fork) and stretched to 52 pitches without any injury concerns.

BINGHAMTON RUMBLE PONIES (41-38) 3, NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHER CATS (33-46) 2 In 11 Innings

Led by a great start by Tyler Stuart and two home runs, Binghamton took down New Hampshire in extra-innings 3-2. Stanley Consuegra launched his first Double-A home run, while JT Schwartz hit the game-winning long ball, his fifth of the season. Schwartz has been an underrated prospect in the Mets system since he was drafted in 2021. He has a career .280 batting average and .777 OPS but lacks the typical power from the first base position (only 15 HR in his minor league career).

Stuart continues to be Mr. Consistent for Binghamton, logging another quality start. Despite allowing at least one earned run in every outing this season, he has only given four+ ER in a game three times out of 15 games. Stuart is a typical ground ball pitcher and does not give up home runs (allowed only two homers this season). He can strike out his fair share, collecting 11 K’s in his previous start on July 1st.

HIGH-A

WILMINGTON BLUE ROCKS (37-44) 5, BROOKLYN CYCLONES (38-44) 3

The Cyclones fell into an early 3-0 deficit and could not fight back to a victory, losing 5-3 to Wilmington. Despite recording six hits and three runs, the Cyclones went 0-for-6 in RISP situations and left seven runners on base.

Mike Mayer reports that Lorusso has been promoted to Double-A Binghamton.

Gomez, a converted outfielder, has shown vast signs of development. The southpaw picked up ten whiffs on Tuesday, five coming on his above-average slider.

Binghamton put it together on both sides of hitting/pitching in their 5-0 shutout victory over Hartford, their third-straight win against the Yard Goats. Run-scoring efforts by Young and Jackson in the second inning gave the Ponies an early 3-0 lead, while Rudick provided some insurance runs in the sixth frame with a two-RBI single.

Clifford’s hot June has stretched into July. The 20-year-old has three multi-hit games this month in only six games, boasting a slash line of .440/.500/.680 (1.180 OPS) after a torrid June. Clifford has raised his batting average by 46 points and on-base percentage by 23 points while maintaining impressive power numbers.

The Binghamton pitching staff dominated in their scoreless performance against the Yard Goats. Moreno gave a solid six innings of work, striking out six batters and maneuvering around baserunners in every inning.

Trey McLoughlin and Paul Gervase continued their impressive pitching seasons for the Ponies, both of which could be on the move up to Syracuse before the end of the season.

The Cyclones could not pull off the come-from-behind victory, falling to Hudson Valley 5-4. The Cyclones fell down 2-0 after an Omar Martinez two-RBI double in the third inning. Wilfredo Lara got Brooklyn a run back in the fourth with a sac fly, but a Brenny Escanio double brought around two Renegade players, increasing the Hudson Valley lead to 4-1.

A big seventh inning powered by Mateo Gil’s solo home run got the Cyclones back even at four apiece, but a walked-in run in the bottom of the frame allowed the winning run to score.

Brooklyn’s staff could have been more sharp, but it gave the team a chance to win. De La Cruz, who struggled in June (7.47 ERA), did not start the new month with better performance. He allowed three runs to score in his 5 1/3 innings on the mound, increasing his season ERA to 4.11.

The second baseman has three home runs in the last two games and at least one hit in six of the last seven games.

Cortes had his second consecutive three-hit game, including a game-tying RBI single in the seventh and a two-run double in the eighth. Acuña had another multi-hit game to extend his hit streak to 12 games.

Wednesday was Vasil’s longest start of the season, and it was a quality outing as well. Buffalo did score runs in three of the first five innings, but the right-hander avoided giving up the long ball for the fourth time in his last six starts. Walker came in after Vasil and extended his scoreless streak to seven consecutive appearances.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (35-33) had their game against the Portland Sea Dogs (37-33) postponed due to inclement weather. They will makeup the game as part of a doubleheader on Friday, June 28.

In his first series at High-A, Baez picked up his second double in as many games. All four hits from the Cyclones came from the top four in the batting order.

The last two starts for Tong this month has seen him look like the pitcher he was earlier in the year. On Wednesday, he tied his season-high with 11 strikeouts and it was the third time he has struck out 10 or more hitters this year with either St. Lucie or Brooklyn. The 21-year-old struck out the side in the second as part of a stretch where he had four consecutive K’s. It was the first time he went six innings in a start since May 21.

The only extra-base hit came when Fañas had an RBI double in the top of the second that gave the team a 2-0 lead. Houck got the scoring started for St. Lucie with an RBI single in the first. The 19-year-old has at least one hit in four of the last five games.

Out of the 10 hits that Wenninger gave up on Wednesday, four of them went for extra bases (three doubles, one home run). Palm Beach scored all of their runs from the second to the fourth inning. The 10 hits allowed were the most the 22-year-old has allowed in an outing this year, and he has allowed four earned runs in three of the four outings he has had this month (6.64 ERA).

Florida Complex League

Rodriguez was a bright spot as he had his first multi-hit game in June. He and Mosquera had a fair of RBI singles that cut a 4-1 deficit down to 4-3 in the top of the seventh.

In FCL news, the team will add catcher Daiverson Gutierrez to the roster from the Dominican Summer League. The 18-year-old has a slash line of .300/.472/.475 with seven RBIs and a .947 OPS in 14 games this year.
