Good morning, Mets fans!

Former Mets first-round pick Justin Dunn has been called up by the Reds in place of the injured Hunter Greene and is scheduled to make his season debut at Citi Field tonight. The Mets selected the Freeport, NY native out of Boston College with the 19th pick of the 2016 MLB draft, but traded him to the Mariners in 2018 as part of the Edwin Díaz trade. Dunn made 25 starts over three years with Seattle before getting sent to Cincinnati for Eugenio Suárez and Jesse Winker. This season, Dunn has struggled in eight minor-league starts to the tune of a 6.75 ERA and has walked 17 batters in 28 innings.

Opposing Dunn will be Chris Bassitt (8-7, 3.61 ERA), who’s coming off another strong outing against Washington. Bassitt hurled seven shutout innings on Wednesday, walking just one batter and striking out four. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm.
