Jacob deGrom took a step forward on Tuesday as he threw to live hitters. Max Scherzer also made his first rehab start for Double-A Binghamton. Both positive steps for deGrom and Sscherzer.

According to Mike Puma of The New York Post, Jeff McNeil’s MRI on Tuesday did not show anything too concerning on his hamstring that he exited Monday’s game with tightness on. He will rest a few days, but not be heading to the injured list at this point.
