I honestly like Alvarez 3 or 5. I really don’t think lindor should be hitting 1-3, especially since he’s been hitting more like a 5. BUT… Buck just won’t do that.

Right now, my batting order (until Mauricio is here) would be something like…

Nimmo, Mcneil, Alvarez, Alonso, Lindor, Baty, Marte, Canha, Vientos (I like Vientos here for the same reason Alvarez at 9 worked. Nimmo provides him protection till he gets going. I also like Baty being protected by Marte.) And as I’ve said before. I really don’t care about lefty/righty when it comes to setting a batting order. I want the best hitters in the best spots. Period.

Looks like catching is doing pretty bad in the NLE right now… Except for mets and braves. Because of course. Sean Murphy probably the best catcher in baseball right now. I’d expect nothing less. Braves are a lot like the Rays. If they are trading with you… You’ve gotta ask WHY. Contreras was a trade many considered a bit of a head scratcher. Looks like braves were the smartest guys in the room. Saw how good he could be on a team surrounded by better hitters.

You can move him for another reason if you wish but Alonso seems to be doing just fine so far I’d say as is.
