Becerra has been on the bench for most of the month of November as the Navegantes have given the solid performing Rays OF Moises Gomez full-time work in right field. While he did not start either of today’s game, he was pressed into service after an injury to the team’s starting shortstop which shuffled the starting center field to short, the left fielder to center, and Becerra into his spot. He’ll have to pick up his performance soon as the team plans to return him back to a starting role since Gomez reportedly has an upcoming date that the Rays expect him to return to the USA.
