Morning Briefing: Let’s Play Two, Again!

Good morning, folks! The Mets will play in a double header today after a five-and a-half hour rain delay caused the yesterday’s double header to be cancelled.

The Mets wiped out the Marlins 13-0 last night thanks to another great performance from Zack Wheeler and big days from Jeff McNeil, Dominic Smith, Jay Bruce, and Amed Rosario. Wheeler had a shot at a shutout after eight innings of 89 dominant pitches.

The Mets begin the doubleheader at 3:10 p.m with Steven Matz on the mound and Jason Vargas will start in the nightcap. Both games are on SNY and can be heard on WOR.
