Tim Peterson Will Be Recalled to Replace Jacob Rhame

As per Tim Healey of Newsday, the New York Mets optioned Jacob Rhame to Triple-A Las Vegas after Sunday’s 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins.

Over 20 appearances this season (20.1 innings), the 25-year-old right-hander owns a 7.97 earned-run average, a 6.89 fielding independent pitching rating, and a paltry 48 ERA+.

A short while later, Healey reported that 27-year-old righty Tim Peterson would be rejoining the Mets, taking Rhame’s roster spot.

In 18 appearances this year (20.2 innings), Peterson has a 6.53 ERA, 6.34 FIP, 58 ERA+, but owns a 5.00 strikeouts-to-walks ratio.
