Morning Briefing: Mets Head North of the Border

Good morning, Mets fans!

Yesterday the Mets (33-48) defeated the Miami Marlins (34-51) by a score of 5-2 at SunTrust Park to avoid getting swept in Miami for the first time since September of last season.

The Mets are off today but head north of the border to take on the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Zack Wheeler (2-6, 4.47 ERA) will take the hill against Marco Estrada (4-7, 4.53 ERA). The game starts at 7:07 p.m. and will air on SNY.

Dominic Smith has been dealing with a sore wrist for about a week and will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Noah Syndergaard and Jason Vargas are both expected to pitch in a simulated game on Tuesday in Port St. Lucie.
